Gatinko Chip - Dragon

Main article: Gatinko Chip - Dragon 1

Dragon is a right-spin Gatinko Chip that features the side profile of the Gatinko Chip's namesake: a dragon and its claws. Dragon has a standard weight for Gatinko Chips, and standard Burst Resistance. Dragon features four Locks that give Dragon average Burst Resistance.

In-depth information for Takara Tomy's Zan Layer Weight will be placed here once drafting has been completed for it. Please be patient.

Layer Base - Ace

Main article: Layer Base - Ace

There are two variations of Ace. The first variation debuted in the Ace Dragon Sting Charge Zan Starter, and is the standard for all releases of Ace, except for the Random Booster Vol. 22 Ace Dragon Wheel Rise Gen release. This second variation features a Burst Lock (バーストロック, Bāsuto Rokku), which are protrusions that obstruct the Forge Disc and hinder Bursting.

Hasbro's Pro Series Ace is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Ace, but manufactured with weaker materials.

Forge Disc - Sting

Main article: Forge Disc - Sting

Sting is a round four-sided Forge Disc, with a spring-loaded outer plastic piece, allowing the plastic piece to move independently of the Forge Disc when hit. Sting is a versatile Forge Disc, and can be used for Attack, Defense, and Stamina Combinations. The bound gimmick does not come into play much, but the heavy weight and Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) makes it useful for any type of combination.

Performance Tip - Charge

Main article: Performance Tip - Charge

Charge is a wide, round Performance Tip with a flat tip. Its most noticeable feature is the incorporation of metal throughout its design, which increases its weight and in theory creating high inertia. In practice, the plastic tip does not generate enough speed, and the heavy weight makes Charge combinations prone to Bursting.

Trivia

  • Ace Dragon's name and avatar are based on the word "ace", a term used to describe one who excels, and "dragon", a mythical monster with a reptilian appearance.
    • The avatar is an amalgamation of Western Dragon and Eastern Dragon anatomy. The body is six-limbed; four legs and two wings like a Western Dragon, and the head sports two nasal tendrils, a mane running down from the base of the head along the neck and to the tail, and a beard like an Eastern Dragon.
  • Despite being an Attack Type, Ace Dragon sports three modes in a similar manner to a Balance Type, like Z Achilles 11 Xtend+, but alters its mode through customizing its Layer Base (Ace (Attack), Grand (Stamina), and Rock (Defense)).
    • With the Attack Layer Base, Dragon's aura is blue, the typical color of an Attack Type Beyblade.
  • Ace Dragon is the first of seven Beys in Beyblade Burst Rise to retain its original name in both the Japanese and English Versions of the anime; the others being Wizard Fafnir, Rock Dragon, Judgement Joker, Union Achilles, Prime Apocalypse, and Master Dragon.
