Acid Anubis 8Vortex Loop (アシッドアヌビス・エイトボルテックス・ループ, Ashiddo Anubisu Eito Borutekkusu Rūpu) is a Defense Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan in July 15th, 2017 for 972円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 7 Maximum Garuda.8F.Fl.

Energy Layer - Acid Anubis[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Acid Anubis

Takara Tomy's Acid Anubis is a round and slim Energy Layer designed for Defense. The center of the Layer depicts a jackal like its namesake; the Egyptian god of the afterlife, Anubis.

Consisting of a colored, six segmented bottom layer and a clear, six pointed top layer, every segment of the bottom layer has four small protrusions and each gap between the segments is filled in with one of the points of the top layer.

Due to the round design of the Layer, Acid Anubis has little recoil and decent Defensive properties and its weight distribution gives the Layer a strong Flywheel Effect and Stamina. Furthermore, the small bumps on Acid Anubis allows for some degree of Destabilization akin to Dark Deathscyther. However, Acid Anubis' Burst Resistance lags behind Wyvern and Neptune due to the average teeth and lack of deflectional blades.

Forge Disc - 8[]

Main article: Forge Disc - 8

8, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features four protrusions, each molded into the shape of an "8". Each of the lower loops of the "8"s features gaps, akin to Knuckle, which takes weight away from the center and creates high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Flywheel Effect, features theoretically perfect for Stamina. Furthermore, 8 is one of the heaviest Discs in the game, heavier than Heavy, Gravity, 2, 4, and 6 and its use can bolster a Beyblade's Knock-Out Resistance and Attack potential. However, like other heavy discs with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) such as Gravity and Ring, the use of 8 severely decreases a Beyblade's Burst Resistance as a trade off.

Disc Frame - Vortex[]

Main article: Disc Frame - Vortex

Vortex is a wide and triangular Disc Frame with wave like details on each side. While too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, Vortex's wide shape makes it one of the heavier Disc Frames in the game, which grants high Attack potential when paired with Core Discs such as 7 and 00.

Performance Tip - Loop[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Loop

Loop features a ball shaped tip that sits at a standard height with four tabs, akin to Defense, but differs by having two free rotating rollers draping down on either side of the Tip in place of the defensive ring.

The diameter and placement of the four tabs are identical to Defense, thus the tabs act as brakes against Knock-Outs by striking against the stadium floor at the cost of Stamina and the diameter of the ball prevents aggressive movement meaning that Loop will mostly stay in the center of the stadium during battle.

In theory the rollers would bring a Beyblade using Loop back upright if knocked off balance with little Stamina loss due to the free rotating nature of the wheels, while this action does happen, it only works early in the battle when spin velocity is high. Later in the battle, when spin velocity drops, the lower placement of Loop's rollers compared to Defense's ring causes scraping, instead of preserving spin and aiding Life-After-Death in this state, the low placement instead acts as brakes that stop the rotation, completely nullifying any Life-After-Death.
