Insert Hasbro Name, known as Archer Hercules Heavy Friction (アーチャーヘラクレス・ヘビー・フリクション, Āchā Herakuresu Hebī Furikushon) in Japan, is a Defense Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Super Z Layer System. It was released in Japan on October 20th, 2018 for TBA as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 12 Dead Hades.11T.Z'.

Energy Layer - Archer Hercules

Main article: Energy Layer - Archer Hercules
The motif is of the hero, Hercules. A Stamina-Type Cho-Z Layer in which the large metal bow and arrow placed on the outer circumference moves outward with a high-speed rotation and inward with a low-speed rotation, making it difficult for the rotational force to drop.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Archer Hercules is a symmetrical Stamina Type Energy Layer that features two bows on either side of the Layer and a face surrounded by that of a lion's, representing the Layer's namesake; Heracles, a divine hero of Greek mythology. As part of the Cho-Z Layer System, Archer Hercules features metal in its design; in this case, the two bows are lined with metal. The inclusion of metal makes this Layer heavier than most God Layers. Archer Hercules also features a gimmick; the bows can extend outwards, akin to Shadow Orichalcum and Orichalcum.

In theory, due to the centrifugal force of a Beyblade's spin, each bow will extend outward and creates an elliptical shape, increasing the Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) of the Layer and subsequent Stamina potential. When spin speed drops later in battle, the bows retract to create a rounder shape to reduce recoil and improve Defense potential. However, the movement of the bows is minor and does not create a noticeable increase in Outward Weight Distribution (OWD).

Despite this, Archer Hercules' existing Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and teeth of medium/medium-tall length makes the Layer excel in Stamina Combinations, capable of defeating other top-tier Stamina and Defense Energy Layers. Furthermore, the Layer's shape produces little recoil and the teeth grant Archer Hercules high Burst Resistance.

Like many other Cho-Z Layers, Archer Hercules is unbalanced, which increases Burst risk and drains Stamina. However, these issues can be solved with the use of a Level Chip that fits underneath the Layer.

Forge Disc - Heavy

Main article: Forge Disc - Heavy

Heavy is a primarily circular Forge Disc, sporting a ring-like shape with numerous ridges on its interior that is interrupted by four rectangular protrusions designed to look like armored plates. As its name suggests, Heavy was the heaviest Forge Disc in the Burst System for a considerable period of time, until Gravity, which also weighs 21.6 grams, and Quarter, which weighs 21.8 grams were released. Despite this, Heavy is still one of the heaviest Forge Discs in the game, making it a popular choice for many Bladers. As its weight is a welcome asset to nearly any Beyblade, it enjoys a wide variety of uses on Combinations of all types. Heavy's high weight and compact shape gives it a Centralized Weight Distribution (CWD), making it particularly useful for Burst Attack as it will maximize the RPM of the Beyblade. This same weight distribution also makes it considerably more difficult to Burst than Gravity, the other disc in its weight class, at the cost of a significant amount of Stamina. Because of this, it is a better option for a Knock-Out Defense Combination than Gravity as Knock-Out Defense Combinations rely on high friction and weight to remain in the stadium, at the same time increasing their vulnerability to Bursting. However, due to its weight, Heavy is still more prone to Bursting than most lighter competitive Forge Discs such as Spread, Knuckle, and Armed.

Performance Tip - Friction

Main article: Performance Tip - Friction

Friction features a wide ball shaped tip that sits at the standard height composed of PolyOxyMethylene (POM) thermoplastic, akin to a combination of Massive and Yielding, surrounded by a ring of rubber, akin to Atomic's free-spinning ring. In theory, the wider tip would increase a Beyblade's Defense by having greater surface area and friction, however in practice, Friction's low friction POM construction reduces much of the Knock-Out Resistance given by the surface area of the ball. Like the tabs of other ball based Performance Tips for Defense, Friction's rubber ring is meant to act as brakes against Knock-Outs at the cost of Stamina by striking against the stadium floor, however, the rubber is situated so high up that it is incapable of reaching the stadium floor at all.

While these features may imply that a Friction combination would be easy to Knock-Out, in reality the heavy weight of Cho-Z and SwitchStrike/God Layers and many Core Discs compensates for the POM construction and the static ball creates greater friction than a free-spinning ball, giving Friction greater Knock-Out Resistance than Atomic or Orbit. Furthermore, the low friction increases the Burst resistance of Friction-based Combinations. However, Friction performs poorly in Spin-Equalization and Opposite-Spin Combinations as the Tip is very easily Destabilized.
