Quattro is an Armor Tip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the QuadDrive Starter Pack, Astral Spryzen S7 Over-Q Quattro-Q+Quattro I-0.
Description
Hasbro's Quattro I is the first Armor Tip adaptation of Takara Tomy's Quattro Driver. Like other Armor Tips, it can be attached to QuadDrive Drivers via two attachment points. When attached to a QuadDrive Driver, it is referred to as the "Plus Mode", essentially replacing the QuadDrive Driver as the main contact point with the Beystadium. The subsequent height becomes similar to that of a SpeedStorm Driver.
The Quattro I Armor Tip retains the same general shape of its Driver counterpart and is based on the latter's Balance Mode, hence the Balance Type classification. As such it features a flat tip with a protrusion in the center. However, the perimeter is plastic instead of rubber, and thus it functions akin to Fusion. When launched straight down into the stadium, the Quattro I Armor Tip will spin on the center protrusion, creating a stable spin that conserves Stamina. When knocked off balance by the opponent or launched at an angle, the flat tip will contact the stadium floor and create an aggressive movement pattern before returning to balancing on the protrusion.
