Still is an Armor Tip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Thunder Edge Battle Set.

Description

Hasbro's Still is a Stamina Type Armor Tip that features a sharp tip protruding from a cylinder, with an outer ring surrounding it. The sharp tip creates low friction with the stadium floor, resulting in high Stamina. However, this low friction between the tip and the Stadium floor makes Still combinations susceptible to Knock-Outs.

In theory the smooth perimeter of the outer ring helps with Life-After-Death (LAD), but in practice the diameter of the ring is too small to touch the Stadium floor. Furthermore, due to the length and thinness of the cylindrical part of the sharp tip, Still tends to Destabilize. While Still works best for Stamina use against Same-Spin opponents, it is heavily outclassed by Kick, which is more stable and features higher Stamina overall due to the wider conical shape of its sharp tip.

Like other Armor Tips, Still attaches to QuadDrive Drivers via two attachment points. When attached to a QuadDrive Driver, the Still combination is in its "Plus Mode", with Still replacing the QuadDrive Driver as the main contact point with the Stadium floor.

Overall

Armor Tips such as Still are only compatible with Hasbro Layers, which are heavily outclassed in the current metagame by heavier Takara Tomy Layers.

As such, Still is not recommended for the WBO's Burst format.
