Bakuten Shoot Beyblade: Rising (爆転シュート ベイブレード ライジング Bakuten Shūto Beiburēdo Raijingu) is a manga-only sequel to the original Beyblade manga written and illustrated by Takao Aoki. It was published in 2016 in CoroCoro Aniki.

The reason for its release is owed to the popularity of the original Bakuten Shoot Beyblade manga. It is a continuation of the original Bakuten Shoot Beyblade storyline, ignoring the last chapter entirely. This is the first Beyblade related content to bare the name "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade" installment since 2004, as "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade" and all related content had been retired due to the loss of interest in "Beyblade" as a franchise and "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade" itself.

The manga features characters from the original series using Burst type Beyblades but is unconnected to the Beyblade Burst storyline.

Due to the overwhelming positive reception and success of the first installment of the new Rising manga, further chapters were produced.

The first 8 volumes were released in a collective volume, with a second said to be released in the latter half of 2018.

After Ray Kon wins the Summer Carnival Tournament, Kenny, Ray, and Mariah stumble across Tyson Granger, who they haven't seen in a while. After a loss to Kai Hiwatari the previous year before Kai left for boarding school in England, Tyson went into hiding, training to perfect a new special move. When Kai returns to help his ailing grandfather, Voltaire Hiwatari, with running his company, the two rivals will clash once again!

  • The manga takes place a year later after the Kai versus Tyson fight in the original series, meaning for the first time the characters aged in the manga itself. Previously, outside of the anime, Tyson (for example) was always pitched as a 10 year old.
