Basic Line Logo

The Basic Line (ベーシックライン, Bēshikku Rain) is the first Beyblade system of the X Series as part of the Beyblade X toyline. This line features a blue band on the packaging for its products.

Structure

Reliable performance, well-balanced and easy to control, ideal for beginners!
— Official Hasbro Description

A Basic Line Beyblade consists of three main components: the Blade, the Ratchet, and the Bit.

Blade

DranSword Blade

DranSword Blade

Blades are the top component of the Bey, and act as the main contact points. The center features a "Gear Chip" beneath transparent PMMA plastic, showcasing a sticker of the Bey's Avatar, with a symbol indicating the spin direction. The contact points are made from zinc alloy, while the lower sections are made of PMMA.

Blades require three Launcher hooks for insertion, enabling the Bey to launch in either of the two required spin directions, whether clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the Bey. Stoppers prevent the Bey from being spun in the wrong spin direction.

There are also Hasbro Debut Blades that use the same plastic components, but with differently designed metal components.

Ratchet

3-60 Ratchet

Ratchets are the middle components of the Bey, attaching beneath the Blade.

They vary in height and contact point design. A Ratchet attaches to the Blade by twisting, which determines the amount of Burst Resistance in each Bey. Spin direction can be changed by manually twisting the outer portion of the Ratchet, indicated by "L" or "R" spots on the Ratchet as a guide for proper assembly.

Simple Type Ratchets (Hasbro: "RBT-Ratchet") use "O-type joint", that snaps onto the Blade, rather than the standard Ratchet joints that rotate to click into place.

Bit

Flat Bit

Flat Bit

Bits act as the main contact points with the stadium floor. Most Bits have the standard 12 tooth gear that interact with the gears on the "X-Celerator Rail" ("Xtreme Line") of the Xtreme Stadium, increasing the Bey's speed. Some Bits have alternate number of tooth gears that changes the speed and frequencies of Xtreme Dashes.

These are the additional subtype series of Bits aside from the standard:

  • Low Bits, which are 1mm shorter
  • High Bits, which are 1mm taller
  • Gear Bits, which have extended teeth to catch onto the X-Celerator Rail easier
  • Disk Bits, which have a outer disk that enhance its ability to produce and maintain centrifugal force
  • Metal Bits, which have metal contact points
  • Free Bits, which spins freely from the Ratchet
  • Trans Bits, which changes the height of the Bey when performing an Xtreme Dash
  • Bound Bits, which produces shock absorptions with the floor of the Xtreme Stadium
  • Rubber Bits, which have rubber contact points
  • Under Bits, which are 2mm shorter
  • Wall Bits, which have a bumpy ring that makes contact with the floor of the Xtreme Stadium to aid the Bey in staying upright
  • Ratchet Integrated Bit, which integrates the ratchet and bit together

Trivia

  • Basic Line Blades generally use the same Launcher hook designs for similar motifs or for the same team in the Beyblade X anime and manga.
