The Wolf's Ambition ((ヴォルフ)の野望!, Vorufu no Yabou!) is the third episode of Beyblade: Metal Fusion and the third episode of the Metal Saga overall.

Plot

Kyoya Tategami, Benkei Hanawa and the other Face Hunters are shown in a helicopter taking them to a foggy mountain area. Kyoya wonders why they are even here and gets suspicus while Benkei complians that he hates this place. After getting off they meet Doji who runs the Dark Nebula. Kyoya demands Doji tell them why he has taken them all here causing Doji to tell Kyoya that he needs him to get stronger and gain a victory over Gingka Hagane.

Meanwhile at Bey-Pit Gingka and Madoka Amano are discussing Gingka's Storm Pegasus that is getting fixed following his Battle with Kyoya. During this conversation, Kenta Yumiya, Osamu Takashi and Akira run to Gingka in order to ask him if he can train them to be just as powerful as Gingka. Gingka gets confused and Madoka screams loudly in order to make them stop after they trash the B pit. Gingka then gets asked by Kenta and his friends to train them causing Gingka to make up an exuse and leave.

Back in the foggy mountain area, Doji makes a deal with Kyoya. If Kyoya wins in a battle against Doji, he will let them go but if Kyoya loses, he will be sent to a training facility in order to become stronger. A battle then emerges between Kyoya's Rock Leone and Doji's Dark Wolf after Doji beats Benkei and the other Face Hunters.

Kenta's friends feel sad that Gingka won't train them during a battle between Osamu and Takashi that ends in a draw. Kenta loses on purpose to Akira due to worring about Gingka and apologies to his friend. Kenta then gets suspicious that Gingka will leave if there are no strong opponents here. Kenta vows to battle Gingka and win so Gingka will stay.

Kyoya Doji next and uses Lion 100 Fang Fury to get some good hits on Wolf. However Kyoya's Lion Gale Force Wall proves to be ineffective against Wolf with Doji commenting that his move is like a lion trapped in a cage. Rock Leone then begins to use its Special Move to eliminate Wolf with sheer force, but Doji appears to know Kyoya's weakness.

Wolf breaks through Lion Gale Force Wall and nails a critical hit on Leone, but not only that, Doji is revealed to have a special move - Darkness Howling Blazer and defeats the wild lion! Kyoya gets stunned at how he lost and realizes that he has to go to the training facility and to try to improve his skills, despite the Face Hunter's shock.

Kenta later confronts Gingka and challenges him to a battle. As they battle, Gingka learns that Kenta's Flame Sagittario is blocking Storm Pegasus' attacks. Gingka is impressed by Kenta. However, just when Sagittario is about to finish off Pegasus, Pegasus uses its special move Starblast Attack to defeat Sagittario just like it defeated Kyoya's Leone back in Metal Tower.

Kenta gets sad as he wasn't powerful enough to defeat Gingka and now thinks Gingka will leave. Although, Gingka tells Kenta that he never planned to leave and the reason he didn't want to train Kenta and his friends was because a Blader simply cannot get trained to be the best. The real power comes from the heart of the Blader and Kenta was powerful because of his determination to win and due to his Blader's Spirit. Kenta rejoices upon hearing this.

Meanwhile, the Face Hunters return to their warehouse hideout, where the unnamed members express concern to Benkei about Kyoya saying that can't believe he lost twice in a row to Gingka Hagane and Doji. Benkei explains to his friends that Kyoya had no other choice but to do some training with Doji and they can't do anything until he contacts them. Benkei however wonders who Doji really is and where he took Kyoya.
