The "Beyblade Burst" (Japanese: ベイブレード バースト) graphic novel is a fantasy, sports, action-adventure manga series based on the popular Beyblade toy franchise by Takara Tomy, written and illustrated by Hiro Morita. The manga is currently in serialization in Japanese children's manga magazine, CoroCoro Comic. Individual chapters were compiled into fourteen tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan, with the first chapter being released on August 2015 and the first graphic novel volume being released on December 28, 2015. Many of the characters and storylines depicted throughout the series would be adapted into the Beyblade Burst TV series in 2016.
While no official localization has been published for North American audiences, Singapore manga publishing company, Shogakukan Asia Pte. Ltd. (originally Chuang Yi Publishing Pte Ltd.) began publication of the graphic novel in English in April 2017 in the original paperback, "flipped", left-to-right format.[1]
Plot
Beyblade Burst
Volumes 1 through 10 follows the exploits of Valt Aoi in his journey as a Blader.
Beyblade Burst: Aiger Arc
The chapters 45–59 of the graphic novel series comprise the Aiger Arc (Japanese: アイガ編). The plot follows the adventures of Aiger Akabane and his Z Achilles.11.Xt Turbo Bey in his journey to become the world's No. 1 Blader. Along the way, he encounters skilled Bladers, all of whom possess a Turbo Bey of their own. In the arc, Aiger and his friends face many challenges, including the wicked Phi, who wields the powerful "Immortal Bey", Revive Phoenix.10.Fr and who temps Aiger with the power of Dark Resonance.
An anime adaptation, produced by d-rights and TV Tokyo, was broadcast by TV Tokyo. The arc was adapted into episodes interspersed with filler episodes.
Beyblade Burst: Dante Arc
The Dante Arc (Japanese: ドラム編, Drum Arc), which consists of a 4-volume compilation story arc and follows Dante Koryu. The compilation covers from volumes 13 and 16 in the over-arcing, graphic novel series.
Beyblade Burst: Hizashi Brothers Arc
The Hizashi Brothers Arc[Notes 1], which consists follows the story arc of Hyuga and Hikaru Hizashi. This compilation spans from chapters 83 through 99 (Volumes 15 through 18) in the over-arcing, graphic novel series.
List of Beyblade Burst volumes
The manga "Beyblade Burst" is written and illustrated by Hiro Morita. The plot starts with Valt Aoi, an exuberant boy obsessed with the game of Beyblade. After receiving his first Bey, the Attack Type Valtryek Wing Accel, Valt gains prominence in the Beyblade world after facing and defeating reputable Bladers.
The manga began being serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic starting in June 18, 2015 with Chapter 0, to March 2020. All individual chapters were collected by CoroCoro Comic in a series of 14 tankōbon volumes between April 4, 2016, and February 28, 2020. It should noted that the total number of published "Beyblade Burst" chapters are inconsistent with the ordinal list. This is due some chapters being released as non-sequential "tokubetsu-hen", or "special edition" (Japanese: 特別編) chapters, which are short, often unrelated stories, that takes place during the telling of the core narrative.
Shogakukan began releasing all volumes in digital format on April 28, 2016 starting with volumes 1 and 2. As of March 20, 2020, all 14 digital volumes have been published and released in paperback and electronic format in Japanese e-book stores.
