"Super Hyperion's Fierce Attack!!" is the eighty-fourth chapter of the Beyblade Burst series and the second chapter of the Beyblade Burst Surge series. It was first released as part of the April 2020 edition of the Corocoro magazine on April 16, 2020. It was later released as apart of the sixteenth volume of the Beyblade Burst manga.
Plot[]
This chapter starts off in the cafeteria of Hikaru and Hyuga's school. Hikaru decides to make cardboard beys to battle with against his friends. Hyuga likes the idea, and he decides to make a cardboard version of Hyperion. The two brothers have a "battle," with Hikaru as the winner. This frustrates Hyuga, who decides to make a bey larger than the table itself. He battles Hikaru and wins immediately, jumping up and down with joy. Suddenly, three men in suits come to the brothers' school and tell them that they have qualified to compete in a blading competition. The brothers ride a limousine and enjoy themselves but get serious when they see the incredible amount of bladers they will have to go up against.
Wakiya Murasaki, now the head of the WBBA, starts explaining the rules of this competition. In order to see him speaking, Hikaru and Hyuga jump on people's heads. They see that Wakiya has a chart showing the various ranks of the new ranking system. He explains that there are 4 Tiers: C, B, A, and S. Each Tier has 500 ranks (except S- Tier, the legendary tier, which only has 15 ranks). Bladers must be in the upper A- Tier rankings in order to compete in the Legend Festival, a competition hosted by Valt Aoi featuring all 15 legendary bladers.
Excited to see their ranks, the brothers take out Hikaru's tablet. They see that Hikaru is at B- Tier, Rank 285, while Hyuga is at C- Tier, Rank 487. This makes both brothers extremely frustrated. They argue with each other, and end up leaving each other behind in order to rank up individually. Hikaru calmly battles several bladers in a row, and wins against them all. He goes up to B- Tier 98 within a few minutes. Meanwhile, Hyuga struggles to rank up. He does not strategize and rushes through his battles. This causes him to drop to the lowest rank possible, C- Tier, rank 500. Not knowing how to improve, he goes to his brother and gets jealous as he sees Hikaru ranking up. After walking away from Hikaru, Hyuga finds himself challenged by three bladers at once: an A- Tier rank 27 blader, a C- Tier rank 195 blader, and a B- Tier rank 5 blader. They try to intimidate him, but he accepts their challenge anyways.
Hikaru sees that his brother is about to battle three bladers at once and gets worried. He knows that since Hyuga is at the lowest rank possible, losing would mean elimination for him. Hyuga realizes this as well and starts to panic. Seeing this, Hikaru yells words of encouragement at his brother, despite the fact that the siblings were mad at each other. Hikaru tells Hyuga that he believes him. Seeing his brother supporting him makes Hyuga smile. He is able to calmly focus on the battle in front of him. Because of this, he is able to perform a perfect launch and obtain a Lightning Launch. This shocks everyone, but what surprises them even more is that Hyuga is able to win the match with 3 ring out finishes.
Hikaru congratulates his brother on the win, and they celebrate together, seeing that Hyuga has just moved up to B- Tier rank 300. Suddenly, a mysterious blader appears and launches his bey at the stadium, creating strong winds that blow both brothers back. They saw on the scoreboard that, within minutes, he has moved up from C- Tier rank 481 to A- Tier Rank 5. His name is Lain Valhalla.
