Plot

Part 1

The season begins with a mysterious Blader emerging from an aura, launching his unique Bey into a Beystadium to face five Lightning Beys, in which it bursts all five Beys with one clash. The scene then changes to a mysterious mansion and as a kid is running from it in fear, Bashara and Hanna Suiro are introduced to the series, preparing to check it out. Bashara tries to keep his sister from entering the mansion, believing it is haunted as more kids scream and run from the mansion in fear. Excited to find a ghost, Hanna soon runs into the mansion, with Bashara following her.

As Bashara and Hanna enter the mansion, the door is immediately slammed behind them. Hanna tries to clam Bashara down but soon becomes frightened by the look on her brother's face, making him freak out too and causing Hanna to drop and break her flashlight. The siblings begin to adventure through the mansion and find a demon statue as they walk up the staircase, creeping them both out and leading to Bashara sensing it is staring at him. As the two walk through the hallways of the mansion, Hanna calls for a ghost, eventually getting impatient, causing her to start yelling, but is stopped by Bashara. Hanna tries to convince Bashara that they have to be friendly to the "ghost" to get it to come out, but multiple bubbles come from the shadows behind the siblings, in which one pops on Hanna's neck, causing the two to freak out and run until they fall through a trapdoor that takes them into a room with a Beystadium and some burst Lightning Beys.

After finding a Beystadium and several burst Beys, Hanna comes to believe that this mansion could be "Phantom's Gate", in which Bashara doesn't believe until it is soon confirmed by the supposed ghost that haunts the mansion. The ghost then emerges and walks to the Beystadium, who is revealed to be the mysterious Blader from before, who introduces himself as Bel Daizora, the self-proclaimed Dark Prince. Bashara and Hanna both claim down after finding out that there was no ghost and discover that the kids from before were Bladers that were defeated by Bel. Bashara builds up his confidence and challenges Bel with his Demise Spellscraper. Bel reveals his Destruction Belfyre, which is apart of the Quad System that was created by him. Bel then begins streaming the battle across the world.

The scene changes to Valt practicing with the other members of BC Sol until the jumbotron turns on, turning everyone's attention to the battle between Bel and Bashara, with Lui also seeing the stream on Ogre Island. The two Bladers launch their Beys into the stadium and the battle begins with Spellscraper knocking Belfyre around, but due to the latter's low center of gravity, Belfyre kept most of its stamina, leading to it taking the advantage against Spellscraper. Bel starts resonating with Belfyre and the two pull of their special move, Destruction Wrecker, causing Spellscraper to burst, giving the victory to Bel. Valt, Free, and Lui are interested by Belfyre's power and the part concludes with Bel challenging Bladers from across the world.

Part 2

The second part starts off with Bel training with Belfyre and they start resonating and talking about how they enjoyed their battle with Bashara and how they want to start facing off with stronger opponents to prove they're the most powerful team. The scene changes to Bashara rewatching the battle with Bel. Hanna comes in to show Bashara the comments on the battle, which make him decide to go back to Phantom's Gate to have a rematch. The scene switches back to Bel watching his message and his grandfather, Jinemon Daizora, brings him cookies and manages to prank him with a monster hand glove, in which Bel immediately gets back at him by splashing his water bottle in his face. Bel and Jinemon's pranks are interrupted by another challenger, who is revealed to be Lui Shirosagi, followed by Bashara and Hanna.

Jinemon begins streaming Bel and Lui's battle, once again gaining the attention of Valt and Free. Once the battle begins, Belfyre immediately dodges Lúinor's first strike and counters with an attack of its own to send it flying. Lúinor returns to perform its Raid Upper on Belfyre and starts tossing it in the air, but Belfyre manages to break free of Lúinor's attacks. Both Bladers begin resonating with their Beys and Lui and Lúinor attempt to perform another Raid Upper, but Belfyre counters the move with its Destruction Wrecker, sending Lúinor flying and bursting it, giving Bel the victory.

After the defeats of both Lui and Bashara, Free comes to the conclusion that the size of the Bey no longer matters in battles, thanks to Bel's Quad System. The episode ends with Lui shocked and impressed by Bel's performance and Bel claiming to be much stronger than Lui.

Trivia

  • This is the first season premiere to not introduce a new Valtryek.
  • This is the first episode of the Beyblade Burst series where the title card does not come right after the opening sequence.
  • This is the first episode of the Beyblade Burst anime to have two different English previews: as it has one that was released with the previous episode using an instrumental version of We Got the Spin and the Beyblade Burst Surge logo animation, and one that was later released as a teaser using an instrumental version of We're Your Rebels and the Beyblade Burst QuadDrive logo animation.
  • After Hanna claims Bashara to be a "scaredy-cat", the latter's teeth become sharp when frightened by the former's scream. In the localized release of the episode, Bashara's teeth were changed to their normal design.
  • In the manga, Bashara and Hanna's trip to Phantom's Gate was actually for a school field trip rather than the two of them going on their own. As a result, Spellscraper was stolen from Bashara by Kenji Taishi and Bel's first battle was against the same classmate. Bashara also never battles with Spellscraper in the manga and uses his Roar Balkesh in his first battle.
