"Thunder and Lightning! Elemental Power!" (爆裂! 爆雷! エレメントパワー!!, Bakuretsu! Bakurai! Eremento Pawā!; Erupting! Thunderous! Element Power!) is the first episode of the Beyblade Burst QuadStrike anime. It first aired on April 3rd, 2023 in America and later aired on April 9th, 2023 in Canada.
Episode Description
The Grand Masquerade Bey Tournament is here! But where is here? Well, Bladers from all across the globe have gathered at a mysterious “Power Spot” overflowing with elemental energy and they’re gonna do what Bladers do best: Let it Rip! After he finds his way into the heart of this Power Spot, Bel faces off with the masked Blader Quadra and her elemental Bey, Pandora. How will the Dark Prince fare against this new type of Blading?
Plot
The season begins at some ruins where a girl arrives and begins counting down and dancing through the ruins as she equips her gear and launches her Bey, Lightning Pandora, into the thunderous sky.
Later at a festival, Bel appears on the roof of a house, introducing himself as "Devastation Man". Valt, Ranzo, Hanna, and Jinemon find Bel and tell him to come down before the weather gets bad. After being told to get down, Bel pretends to change the weather with the sky coincidentally clearing up. Valt then asks Bel if he was going to the tournament located at the ruins, in which he is.
After arriving at the ruins, the group thanks Valt for bringing them with him to England and Jinemon then reveals that the ruins are said to be a "power spot". The Grand Masquerade Bey Tournament's opening ceremony begins, in which the new Tetra Stadium is revealed, and it is announced that the opening launch will be done by Valt. After being pointed out, Bel removes Valt's disguise and gets him to do the launch.
After Valt and Valtryek complete the opening launch, the tournament begins and Bel, known as "Devastation Man", and Ranzo, known as "Cyclone Man", move onto the tournament's second round, in which Jinemon points out that it is possible that Bel and Ranzo could face off in the tournament's final round. The mysterious girl is also revealed to be competing in the tournament and moves on to the tournament's semi-finals to face off with Bel.
During their break, Bel and Ranzo argue about who will win the tournament and unmask the other, in which the girl comes from behind to unmask the two when they least expected it. Bel tries to get payback by unmasking the girl, in which she dodges and flees, with Bel following after her. After losing track of the girl, Bel finds a puzzle on a nearby pillar and completes it, revealing a hidden passageway that he's pushed into. The girl then comes out and follows behind Bel. The passageway brings Bel into a cave, in which he discovers the ground below him glowing, which encourages him to travel through the cave.
The tournament continues with its semi-finals as "Cyclone Man" bursts his opponent and moves onto the finals. Following "Cyclone Man's" victory, the group notices that Bel was missing. Valt then feels the ground shake. As Bel continues to venture through the cave, he enters a room that is soon lit up to reveal its elemental-based details, with the girl entering the room behind him. After they enter, the ruins begin to shake. The room's elemental pillars are raised to be revealed at the tournament's battlefield and the battle arena is dropped down into the room with "Cyclone Man" on the platform. Bel and "Cyclone Man" reunite and a young man, known as Pax Forsythe, discovers that the ruins are actually a power spot based on his readings. The girl then reveals herself from the shadows and begins to resonate with Pandora.
Everyone settles down and the Grand Masquerade Bey Tournament continues with its second semi-final match, between Bel and the girl, who is revealed to be known as "Quadra". Bel examines Pandora and Quadra reveals that her Bey is an "Elemental Bey". Pax is revealed to be keeping track of Quadra, stating that the ancient ruins should increase her "elemental energy" even further.
The battle begins and Quadra states that she'll end the battle before she counts to four. Belfyre and Pandora clash and the former knocks the latter onto the upper deck. Pandora then speeds up and both Beys jump off of the upper deck and clash mid-air, with both of them being knocked out and Pandora landing last and taking the first battle.
Both Bladers get serious, and Quadra's energy exceeds Pax's expectations. Quadra then attaches her Still Armor Tip to Pandora to set it into its Stamina mode and the second battle begins. Belfyre speeds up on the upper deck as Pandora takes the center. Belfyre then jumps off to perform Devastate Dive on Pandora, in which it escapes and jumps off of the stadium's slopes to perform and burst Belfyre with Lightning Crush. Quadra takes the victory and moves on to face Ranzo in the tournament's final battle.
With the battle's conclusion, Pax reveals that Quadra had exceeded all expectations and leaves the ruins in satisfaction from her battles. Quadra then leaves the ruins with Bel following behind her, leaving "Cyclone Man" to be crowned as the Grand Masquerade Bey Tournament's champion. At the ending ceremony, "Cyclone Man" gives his speech and states that he won't be satisfied until he can face Quadra and reveals his identity as Ranzo. Valt then rewards Ranzo with his championship belt and leaves him in tears of joy. As Ranzo celebrates his victory, the episode concludes with Bel declaring that he will burst Quadra with one attack in their next battle.
