"Our Promise" (人差し指の約束, Hitosashiyubi no Yakusoku; The Index Finger Promise) is the thirty-third episode of the Beyblade X anime. It first aired on May 24th, 2024 in Japan and later became available to stream on October 21st, 2024 in America.
Episode Description
It’s Found Family’s final battle and time for Meiko Myoden to take the stage. When she was a Pro, Meiko’s team was poised to reach the top of The X, but just when everything was going their way, she retired out of nowhere. Why did Meiko enter the Shuffle Battle Fest, now that she has taken a step back from professional Blading?
Plot
Major Events
- Teams Found Family and Strong Ones continue their battle on the final day of the Shuffle Battle Festival with the latter team winning.
- Meiko and Jian face off in the third battle with the former winning.
- Meiko's backstory is revealed:
- She was apart of the Pro team, Top Blend, alongside Warden, formerly known by his real name, Edward Kado, and Ai Nekki, the team's leader.
- Due to pushing herself beyond the point of recovery in training, Meiko was forced to retire. As a result, the team disbanded and Ai and Edward also retired, but Edward continued his Pro career and began working for B4 under the name of "Warden".
- Before leaving when Meiko's battle begins, Ai is stopped by Warden, who suggests that she should stay and watch the battle, in which she does.
- Meiko announces that she will continue to keep the promise that Team Top Blend made and will reach the top of The X alongside Team Persona.
- Ai is revealed to have had a daughter named "Meiko", who was named after her former teammate.
- After the Shuffle Battle Festival ends, the results for the poll is revealed.
- For the team votes, Team Yggdrasil took third place, Team Unite and Conquer took second place, and Team Persona took first place.
- For the individual votes, Packun took third place and Rex Jura took second place. The first place vote is not featured on-screen.
