"The Two Xs" (ふたりのX, Futari no X; The Two Xs) is the fiftieth episode of the Beyblade X anime. It first aired on September 27th, 2024 in Japan and later became available to stream on February 15th, 2025 in Singapore.

Episode Description

After a head-on collision cracks Buster Dran, Khrome reflects on his time with Jaxon and how his old teammate triggered his strict training regimen. The next time Khrome unleashes his Bey, he’s determined to prove that he is superior to Blader X! For Khrome, this is the greatest place, the greatest opponent, and his greatest self. Who will win?

Plot

Number Zero hypes up the crowd over the simultaneous knockout and then mentions the crack on Buster Dran. It is explained by various bladers that the reason only Buster Dran was damaged was due to Cobalt Dragoon doing a second lap on its Xtreme Dash(over the 1 lap Buster Dran was in the middle of). Most say that is the best Xtreme dash to date and Khrome names this move "Dragonic Break." Blaze wonders what pushed Khrome to go to such extremes to achieve this. Khrome wants to start the next round, but due to Buster Dran being damaged Number 1 and Number 0 wonder if Jaxon can continue.

A flashback scene showing the final battle between Jaxon and Khrome(with Jaxon leaving the team). In it Jaxon is revealed to be the winner and he says that Khrome let him win(when in reality, he was actually giving it his all at the time). Jaxon says that the next time they face it would be at the top of the tower and to really give it all he's got. Due to that comment from Jaxon, Khrome develops a complex and trains every day to surpass Jaxon. Quinn mentions that Khrome intentionally aimed to damage Buster Dran from the start.

The next round begins with Jaxon switching out to Dagger Dran. Jaxon unleashes his Xtreme Dash Infinite against Kobalt Dragoon, while Khrome unleashes a similar Xtreme Dash and both knock each other out again. Multi and others notice that Khrome is intentionally matching Jaxon. Dagger Dran is also damaged after the knockout finish.

The stadium is filled with virtual rain and Khrome(with Jaxon illusion behind him) saying he's not alone and that he will destroy this illusion once and for all by crushing Sword Dran. Jaxon's is happy about all of this and says that this is the type of battle he was expecting against him while saying he's going to show Khrome something extraordinary.

The next(and final) round begins and both fire out their Xtreme Dashes. However, Khrome notices that Jaxon has recreated his move and dubbing it "Dragonic Break X." Khrome couldn't believe it and claims that Jaxon's version was a more perfect version of what he was trying to achieve. Jaxon appreciates what Khrome has done and extends a handshake to him. Khrome realizes all he wanted was for Jaxon to need him, but when he left, he was no longer by his side anymore. Khrome tries to shake his hand, but due to exhaustion, collapses and is carried off the stage.

With the game tied 1-1 it is now up to Robin to try and win against Blader Z.

Manga/Anime Differences

  • Manga Chapters and pages adapted:
    • Chapter 15 (Pages 1-46)
    • In the anime, Dragonic Break is stated to be performed by doing two laps around the Xtreme Stadium, whereas in the manga, it is said to be just a full lap.
    • Jaxon added the suffix "X" to his "Dragonic Break" technique with Sword Dran, whereas in the manga, he does not.
    • In the anime, Khrome's dragon hair ornament broke when he fainted, but in the manga this doesn't happen.

Errors

  • Like the previous episode, the launcher prongs on Khrome's String Launcher L (counterclockwise spinning) mistakenly uses the launcher prongs for the clockwise spinning String Launcher.
