"The Shapeless Shadow" (形無き影, Katanaki Kage; The Shapeless Shadow)​ is the thirteenth episode of the second season of the Beyblade X anime and the sixty-fourth episode overall. It first aired on January 17th, 2025 in Japan and later aired on July 19th, 2025 in the Philippines.

Episode Description

While diligently working on Beycrafting, Multi takes a break and engages in a Beybattle with King’s mother, Joka. As Multi expresses her anxieties about the new era of Beyblade, what advice does Joka offer her? Meanwhile, Team Phalanx, known for their meritocratic philosophy, makes their debut after their shocking transfer to Solidus Tower. Amid harsh opinions from both spectators and competitors, how will Takumi Ishiyama, the leader of Phalanx, fare with his solid battle style? And after the match, a certain individual awaits Ishiyama...

Plot

Major Events

  • During her training, Joka decides to give Multi a change of pace by challenging her to a battle and winning.
  • After seeing Joka's strength even though she has become ill, Multi asks her if she will survive in the new generation and is told that her ideas will continue to evolve, which is proven by the Beys she's created giving Persona the opportunity to face off in a title match.
  • Phalanx has their debut battle in the Solidus Tower and win.
  • In a conversation with Blaze, it is revealed that Phalanx could have climbed the Solidus Tower from the floor they left off at in the Slash Tower, but instead, Takumi wanted a fresh start after feeling guilt from using Feather Phoenix to climb the Slash Tower.
  • It is revealed that Megaoka is working on another stadium.
  • Ginro, Omega Shiroboshi, and Impact Drake make their debuts.

  • Despite it appearing in multiple flashbacks in the previous season, this episode marks the first physical appearance of Knife Shinobi in the anime.
  • In the preview for the episode, the English title is "Formless Shadow", however in the episode's title card, the title is listed as "The Shapeless Shadow". It is possible that the English title was changed after the creation of the preview, which was never modified afterwards.
