"First Flight" (始まりの翼, Hajimari no Tsubasa; The Wings of a New Beginning) is the fourteenth episode of the second season of the Beyblade X anime and the sixty-fifth episode overall. It first aired on January 24th, 2025 in Japan and later aired on July 26th, 2025 in the Philippines.
Episode Description
Tenka demands to know what made Robin start Blading and so he reminisces about the day he met his hometown friend and transfer student, Tsubasa Takaya. Over time, Tsubasa became a part of Robin’s friendship group but when he offered Robin a chance to Blade, Robin’s reaction was a little different than what it might be today!
Plot
Major Events
- Robin shares the story of how he began his Blading career:
- Robin discovers that a new transfer student, known as Tsubasa Takaya, had joined his class. Robin introduces himself to Tsubasa and they become friends.
- Tsubasa brings Robin to his house and the latter discovers the former's Beyblade collection. Among the Beys was Strike Hawk, which Tsubasa asks Robin to keep it and tries to get him to get into Blading, however Robin declines.
- After Suzaki discovers that Tsubasa is into Blading, he asks him to teach him how to Blade, in which the rest of the class asks as well. Tsubasa also asks Robin to try Blading again, which Robin finally accepts the offer and realizes that Blading is a little more fun than he had thought.
- Tsubasa's mother appears at the school to get him after he did not arrive home immediately after class, but as they leave, Cleo Cle appears, who is revealed to have been taking Beys from opponents he has defeated and challenges Tsubasa to a battle.
