- This article is about the DB Standard Type Burst Stadium. For the original Standard Type Burst Stadium, see Beystadium Standard Type (Burst).
The Beystadium DB Standard Type (ベイスタジアム DBスタンダードタイプ, Beisutajiamu DB Sutandādo Taipu) is a Stadium released as part of the Beyblade Burst QuadDrive and Beyblade Burst QuadStrike toylines. It was released in Japan on April 24th, 2021 for 1980円.
Description
The Beystadium DB Standard Type is a Beystadium released by Takara Tomy as the new tournament standard Stadium for the Beyblade Burst Dynamite Battle and Beyblade Burst BU toylines. Introduced on April 24th, 2021 with the rest of the Dynamite Battle toyline, it replaces the Dash Beystadium, which had been used in tournaments for 5 months prior, and the Beystadium Standard Type, which was used before then.
Compared to its predecessors, the primary differences of the Beystadium DB Standard Type is a 125% larger Battle Area and two Stadium exits rather than three. There is also an additional secondary ridge in the center. Due the larger Battle Area and placement of the fewer exits, Attack Type combinations are less effective in the Beystadium DB Standard Type compared to other Stadiums, as they cannot Knockout opponents as easily. Subsequently, Defense Type combinations are rarely used to counter Attack Types, and thus the metagame of the Beystadium DB Standard Type revolves primarily around Same-Spin and Opposite-Spin matchups between Stamina combinations. This results in much slower gameplay, with Opposite-Spin matches dragging on for several minutes.
