Guilty is a Blade released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the QuadDrive Starter Pack, Guilty Luinor L7 Karma-Q Guard-Q+Destroy-2.

Description

Hasbro's Guilty is a left-spin Attack Type QD Blade based on the Takara Tomy Blade of the same name. Its general shape is similar to its Takara Tomy counterpart, with two small blades and two large blades akin to the Zone Base. These blades are sloped upwards and are intended to produce Upper Attack; however, when compared to its Takara Tomy counterpart, the blades are shorter with rounded edges, and the slope is less steep.

A further difference between Hasbro's Guilty and Takara Tomy's is the lack of metal. The original Takara Tomy Guilty featured six metal dragon heads riveted to the Blade, with four on the top and two on its underside. Hasbro's dragon heads are instead plastic and molded as part of the Blade, which is a single piece. The underside has been hollowed out, and thus Hasbro's Guilty lacks the two underside dragon heads. Furthermore, only two of the four dragon heads are painted to imitate the look of metal.

The less aggressive design of the blades, combined with the 10 gram reduction in weight due to the lack of metal, means Hasbro's Guilty has very poor Attack capabilities. The modified blades have poor Smash Attack as they hit weaker, and the light weight means Hasbro's Guilty has low Knock-Out and Burst Attack potential. While its Takara Tomy counterpart has remained a staple part since its release, in contrast Hasbro's Guilty performs worse than its predecessors such as Nightmare Luinor L3.

Overall

QuadDrive Layers like Hasbro's Guilty are heavily outclassed in the format by Takara Tomy's heavier Dynamite Battle Layers, such as their Guilty Blade, which is a strict upgrade. Hasbro's Guilty is too lightweight to compete with heavier Takara Tomy Layers in the Cho-Z Layer System and onwards.

As such, Hasbro's Guilty is not recommended for the WBO's Burst format.

Hasbro's Guilty is outclassed in the format by heavier Takara Tomy/Pro Series Gatinko Layers, such as Zwei. Hasbro's Guilty is too lightweight and its Attack potential is too low when compared to other left-spin Attack Type Layers in the metagame.

As such, Hasbro's Guilty is not recommended for the WBO's Burst GT format.

Hasbro's Guilty is outclassed in the format by other left-spin Attack Type Layers such as the SwitchStrike Layer Nightmare Luinor L3, and other QD/QS Blades such as Salvage and Xiphoid.

As such, Hasbro's Guilty is not recommended for the WBO's Burst Limited format.

Hasbro's Guilty is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic format.
