HellsHammer (ヘルズハンマー, Heruzu Hanmā) is a Blade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Unique Line system. It debuted in Japan with the release of the UX-02 Starter, HellsHammer 3-70H, on March 30th, 2024. It later debuted in western countries as Hammer Incendio with the release of Hasbro's Starter Pack, Hammer Incendio 3-70H.
Description
HellsHammer is a right-spin Balance Type Blade with three "Smash Blades" acting as the main contact points. The Gear Chip features a flaming skull representing the Grim Reaper. Despite its Balance Type classification by Takara Tomy, HellsHammer has a very aggressive Attack Type Blade design.
As part of the Unique Line, HellsHammer has resin Launcher Hooks instead of metal ones, which increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). In addition, it features an Unique Line gimmick: the three-sided shape and aggressive design of the "Smash Blades" create high amounts of Smash Attack and Force Smash (downward Smash Attack).
HellsHammer is intended to be used in tandem with the Hexa Bit. The Hexa Bit increases the frequency of Force Smash by uprighting a HellsHammer combination and then tilting it downward. Consequently, a HellsHammer combination "smashes down repeatedly like a hammer", hence the Blade's name.
Its initial mold could unintentionally be launched in left-spin. Subsequent releases by Takara Tomy and Hasbro have a modified mold that adds extra metal to prevent this, slightly increasing the Blade's weight by half a gram.
