Hover Wyvern is a Blade released by Hasbro as part of the Unique Line system. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Drop Attack Battle Set. It later debuted in Japan as WyvernHover (ワイバーンホバー, WaibānHobā) with the release of Takara Tomy's UX-00 Booster, WyvernHover 2-80GN, which was only available as the grand "A prize" for the DMM Lottery.
Description
Hover Wyvern (Japanese: WyvernHover) is a Defense Type Blade with an oval shape. The Gear Chip features a mythical wyvern.
As part of the Unique Line, WyvernHover has resin Launcher Hooks instead of metal ones, which increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). In addition, it features an Unique Line gimmick: WyvernHover has "top-down control", as its contact points are meant to deflect attacks from above and below.
Despite being labeled as a Defense Type by Takara Tomy and Hasbro, WyvernHover is an excellent Blade to use in Attack combos, as the aggressive oval shape produces a high Smash Attack.
