Starscream (スタースクリーム, Sutāsukurīmu) is a Blade released by Hasbro as part of the Basic Line system. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Optimus Primal and Starscream Multipack Set. It later debuted with in Japan with the release of Takara Tomy's BX-00 Optimus Primal and Starscream Multipack Set on May 17th, 2025.

Description

Starscream is a Stamina Type Blade with two blades acting as the main contact points. The plastic components of Starscream are identical to those of WizardArrow (Arrow Wizard), and the metal component is nearly identical. Compared to Wizard Arrow, which was already a light Blade, Starscream is noticeably light at an average weight of 29.5 grams, making it the lightest Basic Line Blade that is not in the X-Over Project toyline. Starscream also suffers from a poor weight distribution due to the asymmetrical redesign of the Wizard Arrow Blade. The result is a very imbalanced Blade with poor Stamina and low Knockout (KO) resistance.

The Gear Chip features Starscream, a Decepticon Seeker in the Transformers franchise. The design is based on his evergreen character design, with the Gear Chip being cropped from an art asset found in the 2017 "Transformers Evergreen Character Toolkit". His "null ray" weapons are textured into the two blades, with textures resembling his head on one end of the Blade.

Overall

As a strictly inferior version of Wizard Arrow, Starscream has little use outside of being a collection piece.

As such, Starscream is not recommended for the WBO's X format.
