Vanish (バニッシュ, Banisshu) is a Blade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-185 Booster Vanish Fafnir Tapered Kick-3 on May 29th, 2021.
Description
Takara Tomy's Vanish is a round left-spin Stamina Type Blade with three dragon heads akin to its predecessors in the Fafnir Energy Layer line. Like its predecessors, Vanish has a "F" formed by the area between each of the dragon heads, meant to represent Fafnir. Unlike other Blades, Vanish is completely made of rubber, which is intended to increase its spin absorption] capabilities by making all contact points rubber. Between each of the plastic dragon heads are flexible blades with holes that are intended for shock absorption; when an opponent collides with that particular section, the rubber flexes inwards, absorbing the impact. The thick round shape and rubber composition creates superb Stamina performance against both Same-Spin and Opposite-Spin opponents, which is further enhanced by its spin absorption capabilities.
Like all Blades, Vanish can switch between Low and High Modes by swapping the position of the DB Core and the Armor.
Use in Defense/Stamina Spin-Absorption Combinations
Vanish can be put to use in the Defense/Stamina spin-absorption combination Vanish Bahamut/Longinus Over/Giga/Tapered Bearing'/Drift/High Xtend+'. The Bahamut DB Core offers high Burst Resistance, while the Longinus DB Core increases the weight of the Combination further. Furthermore, the poor Knockout (KO) Resistance of Bearing' and Drift is mitigated by the heavy weight of Vanish and the Forge Discs Over/Giga/Tapered. When against an Opposite-Spin opponent, the rubber of Vanish and the low friction of the Bearing'/Drift/High Xtend+' Performance Tip allows for high amounts of spin absorption, which combined with the high Life-After-Death (LAD) of Over/Giga/Tapered, allows the Combination to Out-Spin its opponent.
Overall
Takara Tomy's Vanish has top tier Stamina potential that makes it an essential part of any Stamina Combination in the current metagame.
As such, Takara Tomy's Vanish is not a must-have, but a welcome addition for the WBO's Burst format.
