- This article is about the Hasbro release. For the Takara Tomy release, see Burst Spriggan Spread' Fusion'-8.
Bolt Spryzen S8 Xanthus-Q Quattro-Q+Jaggy-1 is an Attack and Balance Type Beyblade that is a part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System. It was released in western countries as a QuadStrike Starter Pack for USD$11.99 in the United States.
It is the successor to Astral Spriggan Over Quattro-0 in the anime and Astral Spryzen S7 Over-Q Quattro-Q+Quattro I-0 in the toyline.
Strike Chip - Spryzen S8
- Main article: Strike Chip - Spryzen S8
Hasbro's Spryzen S8 is a left-spin Strike Chip that features the side profile of a spriggan, a legendary creature from Cornish folklore. Spryzen S8 has an above average weight for Strike Chips and below average Burst Resistance.
Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Spryzen S8 is only left-spin, and not dual-spin. Despite not having dual-spin capabilities, non-functional details resembling tri-wing screws are molded onto the chip.
QS Blade - Bolt
- Main article: QS Blade - Bolt
Hasbro's Bolt is a dual-spin Balance Type QS Blade based on Takara Tomy's Burst BU Blade. Like its predecessor, Hasbro's Astral QD Blade, Bolt is based on its Takara Tomy counterpart's left-spin mode. Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Hasbro's Bolt does not flip to switch between spin directions, instead using the same side for both spin directions. Furthermore, Bolt is a single plastic piece and lacks the gimmicks of the Takara Tomy version: the rubber blades, metal blades, and Burst Locks have all been removed. Like other QS Blades, Bolt can switch between Apex and Core Modes by swapping the position of the Gravity Ring from the top of the Blade (Apex) to below it (Core).
Gravity Ring - 1
- Main article: Gravity Ring - 1
Hasbro's 1 is a Gravity Ring based on Takara Tomy's 1 Armor. As such it has the same asymmetrical design as Takara Tomy's 1. Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart however, it is made of plastic instead of metal, and as such its weight has been reduced. The position of the point where weight is supposed to be concentrated has also been moved, to align with the modified design of Hasbro's Xiphoid QS Blade.
In theory, the asymmetrical design of 1 creates an imbalanced weight distribution that increases Attack power. In practice however, since Gravity Rings like 1 are plastic instead of metal like Takara Tomy's Armors, the differences in performance are negligible.
Forge Disc - Xanthus-Q
- Main article: Forge Disc - Xanthus-Q
Hasbro's Xanthus-Q is a QS Disc based on Takara Tomy's Xanthus. As such, it has an asymmetrical shape like its Takara Tomy counterpart, which is intended to align with similarly imbalanced Layers such as the Xiphoid QS Blade. However, unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Xanthus-Q does not consist of a inner metal piece and outer plastic piece; it is instead a single metal piece, with a perimeter mimicking the design of the plastic piece of Xanthus. Xanthus-Q also lacks the "BU Lock" gimmick, featuring the "Xn" abbreviation in place of the BU Locks of the original Xanthus. Like other QD and QS Discs, Xanthus-Q is hollowed out on its underside, reducing its weight by about 9 grams. At an average weight of 23.5 grams, Xanthus-Q is the lightest QD/QS Disc released. As Xanthus-Q is purely a weaker version of the original Xanthus, there is no reason to use Xanthus-Q over Xanthus.
Performance Tip - Quattro-Q
- Main article: Performance Tip - Quattro-Q
Quattro-Q is Hasbro's QuadDrive counterpart to the Quattro Performance Tip, and is based on the latter's Attack Mode, hence the Attack Type classification of Quattro-Q. Quattro-Q features a flat plastic tip, which creates moderately aggressive movement patterns. The quadruple mode change gimmick has been removed, instead being modified with two attachment points to fit Armor Tips. Like all QuadDrive Performance Tips, when an Armor Tip is attached to Quattro-Q, it switches to "Plus Mode". In this mode, Quattro-Q is essentially replaced by the Armor Tip, and the height becomes similar to a SpeedStorm Performance Tip.
Armor Tip - Jaggy
- Main article: Armor Tip - Jaggy
Hasbro's Jaggy is a Balance Type QuadStrike Armor Tip version of the Attack Type Jaggy Performance Tip. Like other Armor Tips, it can be attached to QuadDrive Performance Tips via two attachment points. When attached to a QuadDrive Performance Tip, it is referred to as the "Plus Mode", essentially replacing the QuadDrive Performance Tip as the main contact point with the Beystadium. The subsequent height becomes similar to that of a SpeedStorm Performance Tip.
As a QuadStrike Armor Tip, the Jaggy Armor Tip does not retain the general shape of its Performance Tip counterpart, although some of its design is reminiscent of the Performance Tip. The Jaggy Armor Tip is instead wide, akin to a HyperSphere Performance Tip, which is intended to interact with a QuadStrike System Beystadium.
