Chain Kerbeus Fortress Yard'-6 (チェインケルベウス・フォートレス・ヤードダッシュ-6, Chēn Kerubeusu Fōtoresu Yādo Dasshu-6) is a Defense Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series. It was released in Japan on May 28th, 2022 for 1400円 as one of two prize Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 29.
In the toyline, it is the successor to Hazard Kerbeus 7 Atomic.
DB Core - Kerbeus
- Main article: DB Core - Kerbeus
Takara Tomy's Kerbeus is a right-spin DB Core that features three dog heads and a red chain, representing the DB Core's namesake, Kerberos, the three-headed guard dog of the Underworld from Greek mythology. Kerbeus has high Burst Resistance due to its gimmick: like the left-spin Bahamut DB Core, Kerbeus features a slope, akin to Hasbro Layers, instead of teeth, and a "Rubber Lock". The Rubber Lock gimmick consists of two rubber protrusions on either side, as well as in the center of the DB Core. The friction caused by the Rubber Lock protrusions creates resistance, making it more difficult for a combination to Burst.
Although Kerbeus does not have the "BU Lock" gimmick, the Rubber Lock interacts with the raised protrusions on the Disc tabs of the two BU Lock compatible DB Discs, Xanthus and Moon. This results in increased Burst Resistance that makes the combination very difficult to Burst. Due to mold variation, the two B-198 releases of Kerbeus feature the highest Stamina performance. Another notable feature of Kerbeus is its rounded perimeter, unlike the polygonal perimeter of all other DB Cores. This rounded perimeter is meant to interact with the Chain BU Blade's gimmick: when Kerbeus is used, the six movable chains of Chain are able to retract when struck by an opponent.
As Kerbeus has the highest Burst Resistance of all right-spin DB Cores, it is recommended in any combination, alongside the Belial 3 DB Core. Both DB Cores feature high Burst Resistance for different reasons - Kerbeus has a Rubber Lock while Belial 3 has a "BU Lock" and a "Burst Stopper".
BU Blade - Chain
- Main article: BU Blade - Chain
Takara Tomy's Chain is a right-spin Defense Type BU Blade with a round rugged shape featuring six retractable rubber chains and two plastic chains. When used with most DB Cores, the perimeter of the DB Core will push on the rubber chains, extending them outwards. When used with the Kerbeus DB Core, the round perimeter of Kerbeus allows the rubber chains to retract when struck, which in theory absorbs some of the impact. In practice the effect of this gimmick is negligible, and Chain combinations can still be Knocked Out by Attack combinations. It finds the most use in Opposite-Spin matchups such as those against Guilty combinations, but BU Blades such as Barricade perform better in this role.
Armor - 6
- Main article: Armor - 6
Takara Tomy's 6 is an Armor with six square protrusions and small nubs between each. The design has an even weight distribution at six points to increase Stamina.
Forge Disc - Fortress
- Main article: Forge Disc - Fortress
Fortress is a symmetrical, hexagonal DB Disc, with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). Like the Outer Disc, Fortress has large gaps separating the center from the edge. These gaps are intended to further increase OWD and Stamina. Fortress is one of the heaviest Discs available, alongside Giga and Over. Compared to the aforementioned two DB Discs, Fortress has comparable Defense and Stamina performance against Same-Spin opponents, but lags behind against Opposite-Spin opponents. However, thanks to its shape and heavy weight, it has excellent Attack performance equal or greater than Giga, and thus can be used for Attack combinations. In addition, the shape of Fortress synergizes well with the Guilty Blade.
Performance Tip - Yard'
- Main article: Performance Tip - Yard'
Yard', like its predecessor Yard, features a free-rotating ball tip surrounded by a wide ring. In theory, the ball tip would increase a Beyblade's Knock-Out (KO) Defense by having greater surface area and friction. Furthermore, the wide ring is meant to make contact with the Stadium floor when the Beyblade is struck, forcing it back upright and acting as brakes to prevent Knock-Outs. However, in practice the free-rotating nature of the ball reduces most of the Knock-Out Resistance given by the surface area of the ball and the diameter of the ball makes contact with the ring rare.
Unlike other ball based Performance Tips, Yard does not feature tabs around the tip as their purpose have been taken by the wide base. If launched hard, the greater surface area creates a semi-aggressive movement pattern early in the battle, bringing the Beyblade close to the Tornado Ridge. While the shape of the base can create Life-After-Death and may imply high Stamina and Spin-Equalization potential, the low placement of the base creates a high scrape risk and the lack of free rotation in the base nullifies Spin-Equalization potential.
Like other Dash Performance Tips, Yard' features a stronger spring lock, increasing the Performance Tip's Burst Resistance.

Trivia
- Like its predecessors Kaiser Kerbeus Limited Press, Guardian Kerbeus Heavy Revolve and Hazard Kerbeus 7 Atomic, Chain Kerbeus' name is based on "chain", a connected flexible series of metal pieces linked to fasten or secure objects and pull or supporting heavy loads, and Cerberus, the three-headed monstrous dog that guards the gates to the Underworld in Greek mythology.
- This Beyblade reuses the 6 Armor from Cyclone Ragnaruk Giga Never-6 from Random Booster Vol. 25.
