This article is about the 3A Chassis. For Hasbro's SpeedStorm Disc, see Forge Disc - 3A-D.

3A, also known as 3-Attack, is a Chassis released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Superking Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-168 Booster, Rage Longinus Destroy' 3A, on June 27th, 2020. It later debuted in western countries with the release of Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Rage Lúinor Destroy' 3A.

— Official Description

3A or 3-Attack is a left-spin Attack Type Double Chassis that is intended to synergize with the shape of the Rage Ring. As a Double Chassis, a 3A combination cannot use a Disc, as 3A has a Disc integrated into the design. 3A features an aggressive jagged shape, with two large plastic blades acting as the main contact points. These two spear-shaped blades slope upwards, and extend the two metal dragon heads of the Rage Ring. Like its predecessors in the Longinus line, when Rage is used together with 3A, it has high Knock-Out and Burst Attack potential. The four large upward sloping blades also allow Rage 3A combinations to produce Upper Attacks.

Overall

When used together with the Rage Ring, 3A combinations have high Knock-Out and Burst Attack potential, which create strong Attack Combinations. However, with the release of the Dynamite Battle Layer System, Superking Layers such as Rage 3A have become outclassed. While Superking Layers can still find some use in this format, Dynamite Battle Layers such as Guilty are better suited.

As such, 3A is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition for the Burst Format.

3A is not legal in the Burst GT Format.

3A is not legal in the Burst Limited Format.

3A is not legal in the Burst Classic Format.
