The Custom Line (カスタムライン, Kasutamu Rain) is the third Beyblade system of the X Series as part of the Beyblade X toyline. This line features a magenta band on the packaging for its products.

Structure[]

CX tops have a blade which separates into 3 parts for enhanced top-building options and fine-tuned performance to suit your style!
— Official Hasbro Description

Unlike the previous Basic Line and Unique Line Beyblades, Custom Line Beyblade consists of five main components: the Lock Chip, the Main Blade, the Assist Blade, the Ratchet, and the Bit. The main feature of Custom Line Beyblades is that the Blade can be separated into three components: the Lock Chip, the Main Blade and the Assist Blade. In addition, these three components can be swapped and combined with other parts, allowing for more customization, hence the name of the system.

Blade[]

Blades are the top component of the Bey, and act as the main contact points. The center features a "Gear Chip", showcasing a sticker of the Bey's Avatar, with a symbol indicating the spin direction. The contact points are made from zinc alloy, while sections of the blade are made of PMMA.

Blades require three Launcher hooks for insertion, enabling the Bey to launch in either of the two required spin directions, whether clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the Bey. Compared to Basic and Unique Line Blades, the blade is comprised of three parts: the Lock Chip (ロックチップ, Rokku Chippu), the Primary Blade or Main Blade (メインブレード, Mein Burēdo) in Japan, and the Auxiliary Blade or Assist Blade (アシストブレード, Ashisuto Burēdo) in Japan.

Lock Chip[]

Lock Chips are the top components of the Blade, locking the Main Blade and Assist Blade together. This can be done by using the Bit to twist on the Lock Chip to lock it in place. The center features a "Gear Chip", showcasing a sticker of the Bey's Avatar, with a symbol indicating the spin direction.

Main Blade[]

Brave Main Blade

Main Blades are the middle components of the Blade, and act as the main contact points. The contact points are made from zinc alloy, while sections of the blade are made of PMMA. Stickers are also printed onto the PMMA part of the Main Blade.

Assist Blade[]

Assist Blades are the bottom components of the Blade, and acts as the secondary contact points. They vary in height and contact point design. The contact points are made of PMMA and like its namesake, assists in enhancing the performance of the Main Blade.

Ratchet[]

6-60 Ratchet

Ratchets are the middle components of the Bey, attaching beneath the Blade. They vary in height and contact point design. A Ratchet attaches to the Blade by twisting, which determines the amount of Burst Resistance in each Bey. Spin direction can be changed by manually twisting the outer portion of the Ratchet, indicated by "L" or "R" spots on the Ratchet as a guide for proper assembly. Ratchets set at a height of .5mm consists of a single piece and do not affect the burst resistance regardless of any Bit.

Bit[]

Vortex Bit

Bits act as the main contact points with the stadium floor. Most Bits have the standard 12 tooth gear that interact with the gears on the "X-Celerator Rail" ("Xtreme Line") of the Xtreme Stadium, increasing the Bey's speed. Some Bits have alternate number of tooth gears that changes the speed and frequencies of Xtreme Dashes.

These are the additional subtype series of Bits aside from the standard:

  • Low Bits, which are 1mm shorter
  • High Bits, which are 1mm taller
  • Gear Bits, which have extended teeth to catch onto the X-Celerator Rail easier
  • Disk Bits, which have a outer disk that enhance its ability to produce and maintain centrifugal force
  • Metal Bits, which have metal contact points
  • Free Bits, which spins freely from the Ratchet
  • Trans Bits, which changes the height of the Bey when performing an Xtreme Dash
  • Bound Bits, which produces shock absorptions with the floor of the Xtreme Stadium
  • Rubber Bits, which have rubber contact points
  • Under Bits, which are 2mm shorter

Trivia[]

  • Coincidentally, Lock Chips weigh the same range as Spirit Axles from Beywheelz.
