Deathscyther Heavy Defense (デスサイザー・ヘビー・ディフェンス, Desusaizā Hebī Difensu) is a Defense Type Beyblade that's a part of the Burst System. As a manga-exclusive Beyblade, it was never released.
Energy Layer - Deathscyther[]

Takara Tomy's Deathscyther features a four-bladed design with very smooth sides. It is based off of common depictions of Death as an entity with a skeletal design that uses scythes to attack. As such, the Energy Layer features a hooded skull design.
The colored plastic underneath the transparent casing is focused in the center as well as on half of the perimeter and its three teeth are in descending order, meaning that the first one is very tall, that the second tooth is just slightly shorter than the surrounding ring in the middle and that the third one is small.
Due to its smooth features and the weight concentration that allows for a Flywheel Effect, it excels in Stamina. Without huge impacts with momentum, opponents are unable to use one of its protrusions to Destabilize it or push it in reverse to make it skip over one of its teeth, especially since the first one in the series is tall, following the trait of Energy Layers labeled as Attack Types by the producer. Therefore, in a Stamina battle, it holds its ground and can spin almost undisturbed until the end.
Forge Disc - Heavy[]
- Main article: Forge Disc - Heavy
Heavy is a primarily circular Forge Disc, sporting a ring-like shape with numerous ridges on its interior that is interrupted by four rectangular protrusions designed to look like armored plates. As its name suggests, Heavy was the heaviest Forge Disc in the Burst System for a considerable period of time, until Gravity, which also weighs 21.6 grams, and Quarter, which weighs 21.8 grams were released. Despite this, Heavy is still one of the heaviest Forge Discs in the game, making it a popular choice for many Bladers. As its weight is a welcome asset to nearly any Beyblade, it enjoys a wide variety of uses on Combinations of all types. Heavy's high weight and compact shape gives it a Centralized Weight Distribution (CWD), making it particularly useful for Burst Attack as it will maximize the RPM of the Beyblade. This same weight distribution also makes it considerably more difficult to Burst than Gravity, the other disc in its weight class, at the cost of a significant amount of Stamina. Because of this, it is a better option for a Knock-Out Defense Combination than Gravity as Knock-Out Defense Combinations rely on high friction and weight to remain in the stadium, at the same time increasing their vulnerability to Bursting. However, due to its weight, Heavy is still more prone to Bursting than most lighter competitive Forge Discs such as Spread, Knuckle, and Armed.
Performance Tip - Defense[]
- Main article: Performance Tip - Defense (Burst)
Defense features a ball tip and sits at a standard height. A ring sits halfway down the Performance Tip, and the ball tip has four tabs. The tabs are intended to force the Defense Combination back into an upright position after being knocked off balance and act as brakes to prevent Knock-Outs by striking against the stadium floor at the cost of Stamina. While the ring may imply Defense potential, it is positioned too low for any opposing Beyblade to make contact with. However, the smooth perimeter of the ring does grant Life-After-Death (LAD) potential.
