Energy Layer - Caynox C3

Main article: Energy Layer - Caynox C3

Hasbro's Caynox C3 is a right-spin Stamina Type Layer based on Takara Tomy's Deep Chaos. It is virtually identical to its Takara Tomy counterpart, and as such has the same round perimeter made of two large wings with each wing is split into three blades. The primary points of contact come from a large gap on either side with the right hand side's blade protruding further than the other, this blade is sloped in order to grant the Layer Stamina.

As part of the SwitchStrike System, Caynox C3 features a gimmics: the wings of the Layer are spring loaded, akin to God Valkyrie, in order to create "Bound Defense", akin to Guardian Kerbeus and Jerk. The springs of Caynox C3 are positioned vertically to allow the blades to shift so that when under impact, the Layer will cushion impacts and destabilize the opponent by pushing back.

Forge Disc - 0

Main article: Forge Disc - 0

0 is a symmetrical Forge Disc that's elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features one protrusion, each wide and smooth enough to almost make the Forge Disc perfectly circular if not for the notches needed to add a Disc Frame and a molded "0" on each side. The protrusions extend further and are thicker than most other Forge Discs which makes 0 one of the heaviest Forge Discs and implies high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and Stamina potential. In reality however, more weight is focused towards the center, which creates Centralized Weight Distribution (CWD) that reduces its Stamina to that of 2's. As such, 0 is outclassed by 7 for Stamina Combinations but 0's greater weight makes it ideal for Attack and Defense Combinations. Furthermore, the round shape of 0 creates high Life-After-Death, even without the use of Disc Frames such as Cross. While the weight can increase the risk of Bursts, the weight of most SwitchStrike/God Layers and Cho-Z Layers can compensate.

Disc Frame - Turn

Main article: Disc Frame - Turn

Turn features a gimmick similar to Lift, which has a “Defense Mode” which which is meant to parry hits from the opponent and reduce recoil during Disc-to-Layer contact and an “Attack Mode” which is meant to increase Burst Attack during Disc-to-Layer contact. However, due to most Burst Performance Tips being of the same or very similar heights, such contact is rare. Despite the ineffective gimmick, Turn is one of the heaviest frames, heavier than Lift and Bump but lighter than Wall, which grants high attack potential without the scrape risk when paired with heavy discs such as 0.

Performance Tip - Xtend

Main article: Performance Tip - Xtend

Xtend is a Performance Tip with a manual height-change gimmick, and a wide flat base that has a small sharp tip protruding in its center, akin to a wider Fusion. Like Fusion, when launched straight down into the stadium, the protrusion in the center will keep the Beyblade stable and still in the center, preventing Stamina loss. When Xtend is either knocked off balance by an opponent or launched at an angle, the flat base will make contact with the stadium, creating an aggressive movement pattern with speeds equal to Assault. However this aggressive movement is unreliable as the protrusion can slow the Combination down in the center of the stadium or stop the movement entirely and the greater surface area makes it difficult to maintain a banking pattern.

By pulling and twisting the tip, Xtend's height can be changed between two modes. When using Xtend's lower mode, it is the height of a standard Performance Tip, allowing the Layer of the Xtend Combination and the opponent to impact each other directly. When using Xtend's higher mode, in theory, its height would increase contact between the Xtend Combination's Disc and Frame and the opponent's Layer. Such contact would prevent the Xtend Combination from Bursting and instead cause the opponent to Burst. In practice however, the height of most Layers and the minimal change in height means that there will be contact between the Layers regardless. Furthermore, Xtend's height change is less than that of Tower, a Performance Tip that already has performance issues due to too little height change.

When combined with the Xtend+ Chip, Xtend is classified as a different Driver and as such, any differences in performance will be listed on the Xtend+ page.
