Axe (アックス, Akkusu) is a Disc Frame released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Superking Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-176 Random Booster Vol. 23 on December 26th, 2020.

Description

Axe is a wide triangular Disc Frame akin to its predecessor Vortex. Like Vortex, Axe features wave-like details on each of its three sides. Compared to Vortex, it is thicker and wider, making it an overall superior version of Vortex. Axe is one of the thickest and heaviest Disc Frames available, with its wide shape providing high Attack potential when paired with Core Discs such as 7 and 00.

Overall

Core Discs and Disc Frames such as Axe are too light to be competitive in the current metagame. Forge Discs released in the Dynamite Battle Layer System such as Over heavily outclass the usage of Core Disc and Disc Frame combinations.

As such, Axe is recommended for collection purposes only.

Axe is outclassed by other Disc Frames such as Bump and Meteor for use in Attack Combinations. However, Axe can be used as an alternative in Attack Combinations if the aforementioned Disc Frames are unavailable.

As such, Axe is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to a blader's collection.

Axe is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.

As such, Axe is recommended for collection purposes only.
