Meteor (メテオ, Meteo) is a Disc Frame released by Takara Tomy and Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the God Layer System and SwitchStrike System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-82 Booster Alter Chronos 6Meteor Trans on May 27th, 2017. It later debuted in western countries with the release of the SwitchStrike Starter Pack Cognite C3 6Meteor Trans.

Description

Meteor is a pentagonal Disc Frame with numerous protrusions to give it a rough perimeter. While too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, Meteor is one of the thickest Disc Frames available, which grants high Attack potential when paired with Core Discs such as 7.

Overall

Core Discs and Disc Frames such as Meteor are too light to be competitive in the current metagame. Forge Discs released in the Dynamite Battle Layer System heavily outclass the usage of Core Disc and Disc Frame combinations.

As such, Meteor is recommended for collection purposes only.

Meteor's ability to add weight to Core Discs, which are already the heaviest in the format, makes it a key part in many Attack Combinations. While strictly outclassed by Bump, Meteor is an excellent second choice for Attack Combinations if Bump is unavailable.

As such, Meteor is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to a blader's collection.

Meteor is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.

As such, Meteor is recommended for collection purposes only.
