Proof (プルーフ, Purūfu) is a Disc Frame released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Cho-Z Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-124 Long BeyLauncher L Set on September 22nd, 2018. It later debuted in western countries with the release of Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Perfect Phoenix 8'Proof Friction.

Description

Proof features a circle shape with a round shape, akin to Spread. While too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, the relatively round shape of Proof grants the highest Life-After-Death out of all other Disc Frames in the metagame at the time of writing and outclasses Cross and Glaive in Stamina.

Use In Spin-Equalization combinations

Hurricane can be used in the Spin-Equalization Combination Drain Fafnir/Spriggan Requiem/Hell Salamander 0/7/10 Proof Atomic/Bearing/Destroy. The excellent Spin-Equalization provided by Drain Fafnir/Spriggan Requiem/Hell Salamander is bolstered by Atomic/Bearing/Destroy. Proof aids Atomic/Bearing/Destroy's Life After Death and prevents can Out-Spin their opponent if a Burst is not achieved. However, using Bearing is risky.

Overall

Proof is only compatible with Core Discs, which are too light to remain competitive in the current metagame. Core Discs, and consequently Disc Frames, have been outclassed by newer Discs such as Wheel and Over.

As such, Proof is recommended for collection purposes only.

Due to its circular shape and high Life-After-Death, Proof is a top-tier choice for Defense and Stamina Combinations.

As such, Proof is a must have for the Burst Limited Format.

Proof is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
