Disney XD is the Burst Series and X Series exhibitor in the U.S. and formerly in Canada. It is owned by the Disney Branded Television and Disney Entertainment divisions of the Walt Disney Company, that launched in the United States on February 13, 2009. Aimed primarily at boys and girls ages 6-14, its programming consists of original first-run television series, current and former original series and made-for-cable films from sister network Disney Channel, theatrically-released films, and acquired programs from other distributors.
The channel offers an alternate Spanish language audio feed, either via a separate channel with the English track removed as part of a package of Spanish television networks sold by cable and satellite providers or a separate audio track accessible through the SAP option, depending on the provider.
As of November 2023, Disney XD is available to approximately 44,000,000 pay television households in the United States, down from its 2013 peak of 82,000,000 households.
Starting in 2019, Disney XD shut down internationally, usually due to the launch of Disney+. As of September 1, 2025, this network is only available in two countries: the United States and Poland. On the aforementioned day, the Canadian Disney XD shut down.[1]
