Doomscizor D2 Force Jaggy, known as Dark Deathscyther Force Jaggy (ダークデスサイザー・フォース・ジャギー, Dāku Desusaizā Fōsu Jagī) in Japan, is an Attack Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released as a Booster in Japan on April 29th, 2016 for 900円 and was later released in western countries as a Starter Pack.

Energy Layer - Doomscizor D2

Main article: Energy Layer - Doomscizor D2
Doomscizor D2, like its predecessor Deathscyther, is an Attack Type Layer that features four smooth sided, compact blades. Two of the blades are made of colored plastic with a sloped design that allow for small amounts of Upper Attack and Destabilization, the other two are made of transparent plastic and are not sloped, meant for Burst Attack.

Despite being advertised as an Attack Type Layer, Dark Deathscyther does not perform well in Attack Combinations but excels in both Stamina and Defense Combinations due to its incredibly round design. Because the blades are so compact, the protrusions are incredibly shallow and create little recoil, that along with the Layer's strong teeth makes it very resistant to Bursts and KOs. In comparison to its predecessor, Dark Deathscyther's Flywheel Effect is not as great as Deathscyther, but it is still comparable and unlike Deathscyther, this Layer's teeth will not wear down with use.

However, Dark Deathscyther has a history of breaking. There is one mold variation in an attempt to fix this issue where the plastic was made thicker and reinforced with bars. However this did not solve the breakage problem, so it is recommended to find a second generation Layer and to be prepared to replace it.

Forge Disc - Force

Main article: Forge Disc - Force
Force is a symmetrical Forge Disc that has a diamond or plus-like shape. Its design consists of four main armor-like protrusions; two of which are behind the Forge Disc's prongs, and the other two are on the opposites sides and are fully exposed. Such shape has two uses: The first is to increase the weight of a Beyblade's attacks via aligning with the Layer's protrusions, such as the golem heads of Gaianon G2/Blizzard-X Gaianon G4, or the small square-like protrusions of Spryzen S2. The second use is to balance out unbalanced Layers such as Xcalius by aligning with the Layer's contact points as it grows halfway to Bursting. This effect also allows Combinations to have increased Stamina and Burst Resistance.

While this may imply that Force is Top-Tier for Attack Combinations, it weighs less than Heavy and Gravity, despite its rather heavy appearance. This also limits its use in Stamina Combinations, as its aggressive design reduces Stamina and can throw the Combination off balance, increasing the risk of Bursts. Due to these drawbacks, Force is rendered outclassed and ill-suited for all types of Combinations.

Performance Tip - Jaggy

Main article: Performance Tip - Jaggy
Jaggy features a flat, eight-pointed star tip with a depression in the center. Due to this Performance Tip's shape and surface area, Jaggy will create a moderately aggressive movement pattern with speeds exceeding Accel's. However, the rough perimeter of Jaggy will make it difficult to maintain a Banking Pattern while also heavily reducing Stamina in the process.

Trivia

  • Doomscizor's Japanese name, Dark Deathscyther, is a portmanteau of the words "death", the end of life of a living organism, and scythe, a sickle-bladed pole used for cutting crops; it is also the weapon used by the Grim Reaper, a personified force for death.
  • This is enforced by Doomscizor's avatar: a black-clothed Grim Reaper-style warrior wiedling two scythes.
