Dranzer Flame 10Turn Sword (ドランザーフレイム・テンターン・ソード, Doranzā Fureimu Ten Tān Sōdo) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System. It was released in Japan on December 27th, 2018 for 993円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 13 Air Knight.12E.Et.
Energy Layer - Dranzer Flame
Main article: Energy Layer - Dranzer Flame (Takara Tomy)
Takara Tomy's Dranzer Flame is an adaptation of the Flame Wing Attack Ring and Dranzer Bit Chip from the Original Plastic Generation meant for the Burst System. As such it features an overall elliptical shape with two bird heads and wings on either side which act as the main points of contact creating an aggressive, recoil heavy shape and an image of the Bit Beast Dranzer in the center. The only differences between the Energy Layer and the original Attack Ring is that the Layer is somewhat thicker overall, the tips of the wings are more sharply pointed, the wings lack the Upper Attack slopes, the wings are more compact, making the Layer somewhat smaller, and the "Bit Chip" is non-removable.
Dranzer Flame features three teeth of tall length which implies high Burst Resistance. However, one factor leads to the downfall of this Layer despite the teeth; the Layer's weight. Like other Remastered Original Plastic Layers, Dranzer Flame is made from only a single layer of plastic and is very hollow which creates light weight. Such weight generates little inertia making this Layer very Burst prone despite the strong teeth.
Forge Disc - 10
Main article: Forge Disc - 10
10, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features five protrusions, each molded into the shape of a "10". The protrusions extend further from the center more than other Core Discs which grants 10 high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Stamina potential. Furthermore, the size of the protrusions makes 10 one of the heaviest Core Discs at the time of writing, heavier than 7 but less than 0, and grants an ideal weight distribution for Stamina Combinations. Its high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) grants it not only the highest Stamina potential out of all other Core Discs, but its weight grants it high Attack and Defense potential. With the use of Frames, 10 can be used to great effect in any Combination.
Disc Frame - Turn
Main article: Disc Frame - Turn
Turn features a gimmick similar to Lift, which has a “Defense Mode” which which is meant to parry hits from the opponent and reduce recoil during Disc-to-Layer contact and an “Attack Mode” which is meant to increase Burst Attack during Disc-to-Layer contact. However, due to most Burst Performance Tips being of the same or very similar heights, such contact is rare. Despite the ineffective gimmick, Turn is one of the heaviest frames, heavier than Lift and Bump but lighter than Wall, which grants high attack potential without the scrape risk when paired with heavy discs such as 0.
Performance Tip - Sword
Main article: Performance Tip - Sword
Sword features a wide, metal, six-pointed star tip, akin to a combination of Iron, Assault and Jaggy. Due to the shape and surface area, Sword will create a highly aggressive movement pattern with speeds comparable to Assault. However, the rough perimeter, low friction of the metal and wide diameter of the tip makes it difficult for Sword to maintain a banking pattern and creates relatively poor Stamina despite the metal construction, making Sword ill-suited for Tornado Stalling Combinations as well.
Furthermore, Sword features two sword-like protrusions on either side. Due to the height of the Burst System, no Combination can come into contact with the protrusions and they instead create a severe scrape risk, nullifying Life-After-Death potential. When paired with the Xcalibur line of Layers, the protrusions are meant to line up with the Layer's sword point to increase Attack potential. However, the protrusions are too small have any noticeable effect.
Finally, Sword is taller than most other Performance Tips which further reduces Attack potential as most Attack Type benefit from being at lower heights.
