This article is about the second Hasbro Belfyre Drive Chip. For the first Hasbro Belfyre Drive Chip, see Drive Chip - Belfyre B7. For the Takara Tomy version, see DB Core - Belial 2.

Evo Belfyre B7 is a Drive Chip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Interstellar Drop Battle Set.

Description

Hasbro's Evo Belfyre B7 is a right-spin Drive Chip that features the side profile of Belial, the Demon King. Evo Belfyre B7 features an average weight for Drive Chips and high Burst Resistance. Evo Belfyre B7 has the highest Burst Resistance of all the right-spin Drive Chips and Strike Chips.

Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Evo Belfyre B7 does not have the "Overdrive System" or "Burst Lock" gimmick.

Overall

QuadDrive System Layers are heavily outclassed by releases from Takara Tomy in the Cho-Z Layer System and onward.

As such, Evo Belfyre B7 is recommended for collection purposes only.

Although Evo Belfyre B7 is the tightest right-spin Drive Chip, the low weight and mediocre Burst Resistance of QuadDrive System Layers means they do not have any competitive advantages over similar alternatives from other systems. However, Evo Belfyre B7 should be used if a Right-Spin Blade is being utilized.

As such, Evo Belfyre B7 is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to a blader's collection.

Evo Belfyre B7 is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
