Fafnir F7 is a Drive Chip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the QuadDrive Starter Pack, Vanish Fafnir F7 Tapered-Q Xtend+-Q+Kick-3.
Description
Hasbro's Fafnir F7 is a left-spin Drive Chip that features a dragon representing the Drive Chip's namesake: Fafnir, son of the dwarf king Hreidmar. Fafnir F7 has a below average weight for Drive Chips and below average Burst Resistance.
Overall
QuadDrive System Layers are heavily outclassed by releases from Takara Tomy in the Cho-Z Layer System and onward.
As such, Hasbro's Fafnir F7 is recommended for collection purposes only.
Although Hasbro's Fafnir F7 is the tightest left-spin Drive Chip, its low weight and mediocre Burst Resistance means QuadDrive System Layers have no competitive advantage over similar alternatives from other systems, which have higher Burst Resistance. However, Fafnir F7 should be used if a left-spin Blade is being utilized.
As such, Hasbro's Fafnir F7 is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to a blader's collection.
