Earth Aquila 2 Yielding (アースアクイラ・ツー・イールディング, Āsu Akuira Tsū Īrudingu) is a Defense Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System. It was released in Japan in December 2019 for 8100円 as a part of the Metal Fight Beyblade Anime 10th Anniversary Set.
Energy Layer - Earth Aquila
- Main article: Energy Layer - Earth Aquila
Takara Tomy's Earth Aquila is an Energy Layer that adapts the Aquila Face Bolt, Aquila Energy Ring, and Earth Fusion Wheel of the Metal Series' Hybrid Wheel System for the Burst System. As such it resembles the general shape of these parts, with a round, minimal recoil design consisting of four wings surrounding its perimeter, with each pair facing each other on a slight incline. The three parts are noninterchangeable and combined into a single piece. The Aquila motif adorns the center of the Energy Layer, with the words "Hybrid" and "Wheel" featured on the sides, referencing the Hybrid Wheel System. Compared to the original parts, the Earth Aquila Energy Layer is noticeably wider - the "Fusion Wheel" portion of the Energy Layer is made of plastic, with metal lining the circumference. Earth Aquila has particularly poor Burst Resistance, due to its fine locks.
Forge Disc - 2
- Main article: Forge Disc - 2
2, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features one protrusion with "2" shaped molding on either side of the protrusion. 2 has a standard weight distribution and an average weight among Core Discs, these features allow it to act as a "Jack-of-All-Trades", capable of performing well in any type of Combination. While other Core Discs such as 4 and 7 can work better for Attack, Defense and Stamina, 2 works as an excellent alternative if those Core Discs are unavailable.
Performance Tip - Yielding
- Main article: Performance Tip - Yielding
Yielding features a cone shaped tip made of PolyOxyMethylene (POM) thermoplastic rather than traditional plastic. Yielding's gimmick is that the POM plastic has less friction against the stadium floor than traditional plastic, increasing a Combination's Stamina. Embossed into the top of the Performance Tip is a stylized 'Y' for easy identification.
Due to the lowered friction, Yielding yields high amounts of Stamina and procession time, however this low friction also brings lowered Knock-Out Resistance and Stability. The Stability issue is further exacerbated by the angle of the cone; unlike Metal Fight Beyblade's Defense Tip, the angle of Yielding is more acute, akin to Big Wide Defense, causing an increase in the risk of floor scrapes. It is possible to improve the Stability somewhat by wearing down the tip, however the low friction means that this takes time.
