<onlyinclude>'''Dragoon Fighter''' is an adaptation of the Dual Dragon Attack Ring and Dragoon Bit Chip from the Original Plastic Generation meant for the Burst System. As such it features an overall square/diamond shape with four dragon heads that act as the main contact points and an image of the Bit Beast Dragoon in the center. The only differences between the Energy Layer and the original Attack Ring is that the dragon heads are more compact making the Layer somewhat smaller overall and the "Bit Chip" is non-removable.

While '''Dragoon Fantom''' has strong teeth, its shape is simply too aggressive and its weight is too light to be effective, a factor that is exacerbated with the heavier SwitchStrike/God Layer System. Hasbro's '''Dragoon F '''is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's '''Dragoon Fantom''', with the same light weight and highly aggressive shape. While it does have slopes of above-average strength, like the teeth of '''Dragoon Fantom''', the slopes are also unable to compensate for the recoil '''Dragoon F '''creates. Furthermore, with the release of SwitchStrike Layers such as [[Energy Layer - Luinor L3|Luinor L3]] and even [[Energy Layer - Luinor L2|Luinor L2]], '''Dragoon F '''is also far too light to be competitive.

Description

Dragoon Fighter is an adaptation of the Dual Dragon Attack Ring and Dragoon Bit Chip from the Original Plastic Generation meant for the Burst System. As such it features an overall square/diamond shape with four dragon heads that act as the main contact points and an image of the Bit Beast Dragoon in the center. The only differences between the Energy Layer and the original Attack Ring is that the dragon heads are more compact making the Layer somewhat smaller overall and the "Bit Chip" is irremovable.

For the Takara Tomy release of Dragoon Fantom, itfeatures teeth comparable to the teeth of Victory Valkyrie. While such teeth may imply high Attack potential, the pointed shape of each of the heads are not only recoil heavy, the Layer is highly light in weight due to being so thin, hollow and only made from one layer of plastic. This in turn, means that the teeth are unable to compensate for the recoil the Layer creates.

Overall

While Dragoon Fantom has strong teeth, its shape is simply too aggressive and too light to be effective, a factor that is further exacerbated with the release of Cho-Z Layers such as Bloody Longinus and Hell Salamander, which outclass Dragoon Fantom in terms of Left-Spin Attack.

As such, Dragoon Fantom is recommended for collection purposes only.

Differences in the Hasbro Version

Hasbro's Dragoon F is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Dragoon Fantom, with the same light weight and highly aggressive shape. While it does have slopes of above-average strength, like the teeth of Dragoon Fantom, the slopes are also unable to compensate for the recoil Dragoon F creates. Furthermore, with the release of SwitchStrike Layers such as Luinor L3 and even Luinor L2, Dragoon F is also far too light to be competitive.

As such, Dragoon F is also recommended for collection purposes only.
