Duo Apollos (デュオアポロス, Deyuo Aporosu), stylized as Duo αpollos, is an Energy Layer released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the God Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-00 CoroCoro Exclusive Booster Duo Aeclipse 7Star Unite in February 2018.

Takara Tomy's Duo Apollos is a Defense Type Energy Layer, that features an overall hexagonal shape, with multiple notches on each side, akin to a six bladed Draciel Shield. The left side of the Layer features a face, meant to represent the Layer’s namesake, Apollo, the god of sun and light in Greek and Roman mythology. As part of the God Layer System, Duo Apollos features a gimmick: like Duo Artemis, the Layer can be split in half in order to form Duo Aeclipse.

The pointed design of the Layer makes Duo Apollos ill-suited for Defense or Stamina Combinations and instead functions akin to a six pointed Xcalibur. While this and the Layer's tall teeth may imply high Attack potential, Duo Apollos is very lightweight for a God Layer due to its thinness and as such possesses a significant Self-Burst risk as the light weight creates low inertia.

When combined with Duo Artemis, the result is classified as a different Layer and so any differences in performance will be listed on the page Duo Aeclipse.

While Takara Tomy's Duo Apollos has strong teeth, its shape is simply too aggressive and its weight is too light to be effective, a factor that is exacerbated through the use of heavy Layers in the current metagame such as Sieg Xcalibur.

As such, Takara Tomy's Duo Apollos is recommended for collection purposes only.
