Duo Artemis (デュオアルテミス, Deyuo Arutemisu), stylized as Duo αrtemis, is an Energy Layer released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the God Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-00 CoroCoro Exclusive Booster Duo Aeclipse 7Star Unite in February 2018.
Description
Takara Tomy's Duo Artemis is an Attack Type Energy Layer that features an overall square shaped design with four blades akin to a reversed Lost Longinus or a symmetrical Minoboros. The right side of the Layer features a face, meant to represent Artemis, the goddess of the moon in Greek and Roman mythology. As part of the God Layer System, Duo Artemis features a gimmick: like Duo Apollos, the Layer can be split in half in order to form Duo Aeclipse.
While the aggressive design and the Layer's tall teeth may imply high Attack potential, Duo Artemis is very lightweight for a God Layer due to its thinness and as such possesses a significant Self-Burst risk as the light weight creates low inertia.
When combined with Duo Apollos, the result is classified as a different Layer and so any differences in performance will be listed on the page Duo Aeclipse.
Overall
While Takara Tomy's Duo Artemis has strong teeth, its shape is simply too aggressive and its weight is too light to be effective, a factor that is exacerbated through the use of heavy Layers in the current metagame such as Sieg Xcalibur.
As such, Takara Tomy's Duo Artemis is recommended for collection purposes only.
