Description
Evipero E2 is a Defense Type Energy Layer with the center of it featuring the head of a Horned Serpent and molding akin to the Iris of the Eye, representing the Layer's Japanese namesake; Evil-eye.
The Layer's perimeter is made up of six blades, three made of colored plastic and three made of clear plastic. The colored blades are wide and make up most of the perimeter, while the clear blades are small and party fill up the gaps in between the colored blades, creating a design akin to the Smash Turtle Attack Ring from the Original Plastic Generation.
Despite the resemblance, the Japanese release of Exceed Evil-eye has poor performance due to the Layer's mediocre teeth and recoil inducing design caused the large gaps. However, the shape allows Evipero E2 to act as a consistent counter against Maximum Garuda, catching into Maximum Garuda's notches and Bursting it, though such usefulness is niche.
Overall
Exceed Evil-eye features a design too recoil heavy for Defense Combinations and teeth too short for Attack Combinations. While it can act as consistent counter against the Top-Tier Maximum Garuda, such usefulness is niche and Exceed Evileye's weak performance overall makes it a risky choice in competitive use. Furthermore, with the release of Cho-Z Layers such as Revive Phoenix and Archer Hercules, Exceed Evil-eye is far too light to be competitive.
As such, Exceed Evileye is recommended for collection purposes only.
Differences in the Hasbro Version
Hasbro's Evipero E2 is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Exceed Evil-eye with the same recoil inducing shape and weak Burst Resistance. Furthermore, with the release of SwitchStrike Energy Layers such as Balkesh B3 and Spryzen Requiem S3, Evipero E2 is also too light to be competitive.
As such, Evipero E2 is also recommended for collection purposes only.
