<onlyinclude>Fengriff F2 is an Attack Type Energy Layer that's somewhat round and elliptical in shape. Its design consists of four large clockwise blades; two of which are made of colored plastic, are thinner and longer than the other two, has four smaller blades on them, and have a shallow gap inside them. The other two are made of clear plastic, are thin at the front and thick at the ends, are shorter than the other two, and are designed in a way that appears ideal for Burst Attack. Above the right-side of the Layer's center is the small, sideways head of a wolf baring its fangs, representing Fengriff F2<nowiki/>'s Takara Tomy namesake; Fenrir, one of the many wolves in Norse mythology.

While Fengriff F2<nowiki/>'s resemblance to the Aquario Metal Wheel and Hyper Fusion Wheel from the Hybrid Wheel System may imply high Attack potential, in practice, Fengriff F2 performs rather inconsistently, which is due to its shape. Such a shape can either reduce or create beneficial recoil, which creates a "50-50" scenario; as the shape can either reduce recoil for Defense, or increase recoil for Attack, which in uportune times, can hamper its Attack, Defense and Stamina capabilities. For the Takara Tomy release of Fang Fenrir, this problem is further exacerbated by its weak teeth, which makes it prone to losses by Burst. As such, it is critical to pair up Fang Fenrir with a ' Performance Tip such as Destroy' or Zephyr'.<nowiki/></onlyinclude>

Fang Fenrir features a design with too little recoil for Attack, too much recoil for Defense, only average Stamina and weak teeth, and Bursts too easily in battle, making it critical to pair it up with the aforementioned ' Performance Tips. While it is far too light to be competitive in the current metagame, it has potential in the Burst Classic Format. Due to how old Fang Fenrir is, it is mostly unavailable. If one prefers to use it, getting Fang Fenrir from the Random Layer Collection Vol. 7 is the best option.

Fengriff F2, known as Fang Fenrir (ファングフェンリル, Fangu Fenriru) in Japan, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It debuted with the release of the B-62 Dual Cyclone BeyStadium DX Set on October 22nd, 2016. It later debuted in western countries with the release of the Jormuntor J2 & Fengriff F2 Dual Pack.

Description

Fengriff F2 is an Attack Type Energy Layer that features four counterclockwise blades, akin to the Aquario Metal Wheel from Metal Fight Beyblade. While the direction and smooth design of the blades may imply high Defense potential, the large gaps in between the blades creates too much recoil for such a purpose and the recoil that is produced is too little to create meaningful Burst Attack. Fang Fenrir's problems become exacerbated by the mediocre teeth of the Japanese release which are inconsistent on withstanding the recoil the blades produce, making Fengriff F2 Burst prone.

Overall

Fang Fenrir features a design with too little recoil for Attack, too much recoil for Defense, only average Stamina and weak Burst resistance.

As such, Fang Fenrir is recommended for collection purposes only.

Differences in the Hasbro Version

Hasbro's Fengriff F2 is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Fang Fenrir with the same issues of recoil and Burst resistance.

As such, Fengriff F2 is also recommended for collection purposes only.

Trivia

 • Fengriff F2's design resembles the Aquario Metal Wheel from Metal Fight Beyblade, and the Hyper Fusion Wheel from Hasbro's Beyblade Legends series.
 • Fengriff F2's full Hasbro name, Ferro Fengriff, uses the word "ferro", which means 'combining form' or 'containing iron'.
