Insert Hasbro Name, known as Left Eclipse (レフトエクリプス, Refuto Ekuripusu) in Japan, stylized as Left αeclipse, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System as well as the Cho-Z Layer System. It debuted with the release of the B-126 Cho-Z Musou Beystadium on October 20th, 2018. It later debuted in western countries with the release of the Cross Collision Battle Set.

Description

Left Eclipse is a Left Spin Balance Type Energy Layer that is the result of the combination of Left Astro A4 and Right Artemis A4 with Left Astro A4's center piece via the two Layers' shared gimmick. The left side features the Left Astro A4 half with multiple spikes on each side and the right side features the Right Artemis A4 half with three blades. The combinations of Left Astro A4, the sun, and Right Artemis A4, the moon, represent the Layer's namesake; an eclipse. As part of the Cho-Z Layer System, Left Eclipse features metal in its design; lining the blades. The inclusion of metal makes the Layer heavier than most SwitchStrike/God Layers.

The hybrid design of Left Eclipse is meant to create a mixed performance between Defense and Attack, however, like most Balance Type parts, this leads to mediocre performance in both categories. Furthermore, both sides feature too little recoil for Attack potential and too much recoil for Defense and Stamina potential, even when against opposite spin opponents.

Due to the gimmick, Left Eclipse is also incompatible with a Level Chip.

Overall

With too little recoil for Attack and too much recoil for Defense and Stamina, Left Eclipse is outclassed by many other Layers such as Winning Valkyrie.

As such, Left Eclipse is recommended for collection purposes only.
