Perfect Phoenix P4 is an Energy Layer released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the SlingShock System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the SlingShock Starter Pack Perfect Phoenix P4 1 Tower-S.
Description
Hasbro's Perfect Phoenix P4 is a Defense Type Energy Layer that is created by combining the Dread Armor from Dread Phoenix P4 and the Revive Core from Revive Phoenix P4. The alternate combination featuring the other components is referred to as Unperfect Phoenix P4. While sharing the same name as its Takara Tomy counterpart, Hasbro's Perfect Phoenix P4 lacks metal in its design.
Like its predecessors, Perfect Phoenix P4 features a bird in the center and four feathered blades that make up the bird's wings, representing the Energy Layer's namesake; the mythical immortal bird, the Phoenix. The Dread Armor is attached to the rest of the Energy Layer via a locking mechanism, and the Armor can be knocked off during battle. While the loss of the Dread Armor makes the Energy Layer lighter, the smoother perimeter created reduces recoil. Furthermore, the Dread Armor is left in the stadium, interfering with the opponent and impeding Banking Patterns and reducing Stamina. However, this can also interfere with the Perfect Phoenix P4 Combination.
Overall
Hasbro's Perfect Phoenix P4 is too light to be used competitively in the current metagame.
