Xcalius X2, known as Xeno Xcalibur (ゼノエクスカリバー, Zeno Ekusukaribā) in Japan, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It debuted with the release of the B-48 Starter Xeno Xcalibur Magnum Impact on July 2nd, 2016. It later debuted in western countries with the release of the Starter Pack Xcalius X2 Magnum Impact.

Xcalius X2, like its predecessor Xcalibur, is an Attack Type Layer that features a large sword running down the length of the Layer, the end of which protrudes from the bottom and acts as the primary contact point making this Layer excel at KOing and Bursting its opponent. The Takara Tomy release also features tall teeth which allows the Layer to withstand its own recoil. However, due to the exaggerated designs around the sword, Xcalius X2's contact point doesn't protrude as far as Xcalibur's, meaning that the Layer is outclassed by its predecessor, if only slightly.

Due to the design of the sword, the Layer, like its predecessor, is unbalanced towards the sword point to increase Burst potential. However this drains Stamina and is liable to break banking patterns depending on the Tip used.

There are two mold variations of Xeno Xcalibur: the first mold is very fragile with common occurrences of both the handle and the blade of the sword breaking and the paint on the blade chipping off, the second mold features a reinforced handle and an unpainted blade in the Random Booster Volume 5 releases, to solve these problems but the blade itself remains unchanged.

It is advised to find a second generation mold and be prepared to replace it.

While Xeno Xcalibur is somewhat outclassed its predecessor, it still has comparable Attack power and strong teeth and made a great alternative if Xcalibur is not available. However, with the release of the SwitchStrike/God Layer System, Xeno Xcalibur is too light to be competitive.

As such, Xeno Xcalibur is recommended for collection purposes only.

Difference in the Hasbro Version

Hasbro's Xcalius X2 is virtually unchanged from the second generation mold of Takara Tomy's Xeno Xcalibur with the same Attack potential, unbalanced design and strong Burst resistance. However, with the release of the SwitchStrike/God Layer System, Xcalius X2 is too light to be competitive.

As such, Xcalius X2 is also recommended for collection purposes only.
