Erase Diabolos Vanguard Bullet (イレイズディアボロス・バンガード・バレット, Ireizu Diaborosu Bangādo Baretto) is a Balance Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It was released as a DX Starter in Japan on July 6th, 2019 for 2700円.

It is the left-spinning counterpart of Venom Diabolos Vanguard Bullet and is succeeded by Master Diabolos Generate

Gatinko Chip - Diabolos[]

Main article: Gatinko Chip - Diabolos 1

Diabolos is a dual-spin Gatinko Chip that features a dragon head and claws representing the Gatinko Chip's namesake, a demonic dragon. Unlike other Gatinko Chips, Diabolos has an integrated Layer Weight, with a weight exceeding all Gatinko Chip and Layer Weight combinations. While versatile in both right-spin and left-spin, Diabolos is outclassed in terms of Burst Resistance and weight distribution by other Gatinko Chips such as Achilles and Longinus. However, Diabolos can be used as a second or third option for if weight is a priority and the Goku Layer Weight is unavailable.

Hasbro's Pro Series Devolos is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Diabolos, but manufactured with weaker materials.

Layer Base - Erase[]

Main article: Layer Base - Erase (Takara Tomy)
A Balance Type Base that cuts through the air and increases the rotational force while attacking the opponent from below with 5 thin and sharp super upper blades.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Erase is a Left-Spin Layer Base with five upward sloping blades as its primary points of contact. In theory, its five blades provide Attack power with its slopes, and Defense power by being closely packed together. However, in practice these factors a detriment; the blades do not have any contact points that are sufficient for Attack Combinations, while the gaps between the blades allow Attack Combinations to easily knock back an Erase combination. Erase also has poor Stamina due to its ineffectual shape. Overall, Takara Tomy's Erase has no redeeming qualities, with terrible Attack, Defense, and Stamina.

Forge Disc - Vanguard[]

DiskVanguard
Main article: Forge Disc - Vanguard

Vanguard is a six-bladed Forge Disc that slopes downwards, similar to Armed and Vertical. The inner and bottom edges of Vanguard consist of plastic riveted to a metal frame. Two of the six blades are larger than the others.

The low-lying shape of Vanguard makes it excellent to use in Life-After-Death (LAD) Stamina Combinations, often being used alongside the Bearing' and Rise Performance Tips. Its performance is comparable to 00/10Wall in this aspect, sharing similar roles. Vanguard can also be used in Attack Combinations, although a Blader must be careful to avoid scraping the Stadium floor. Among Gatinko Layer System Forge Discs, Vanguard is a decent all-around Forge Disc.

Trivia[]

  • Erase Diabolos' name is a combination of "erase", the process of removing any or all traces, and "diabolus", the Latin word for "devil".
  • Erase Diabolos' avatar bears a similarity to the Balrog from The Lord of the Rings series: a flame-based creature with a curving horn on each side of the head.
  • Erase Diabolos is one of the only Gatinko Beyblades to not feature a Layer Weight, the others being Venom Diabolos, Lord Spriggan Blitz Dimension', Imperial Dragon Ignition', and Master Diabolos Generate.
