Fafnir F3 7Star Zephyr, known as Drain Fafnir 7Star Zephyr (ドレインファブニル・セブンスター・ゼファー, Dorēn Fabunīru Sebun Sutā Zefā) in Japan, is a Balance Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the God Layer System. It was released in Japan on November 11th, 2017 for 4968円 as a part of the God Customize Set.

Energy Layer - Fafnir F3

Main article: Energy Layer - Fafnir F3
Fafnir F3 is a somewhat triangular Energy Layer designed for Stamina that features three side profile dragon heads with clear plastic "nose horns" along the perimeter, an "F" along with each dragon that sticks out slightly at two points from the perimeter and three claws grasping the center God Chip, meant to represent this Layer's namesake; Fafnir the Nordic Dragon of Greed. These molding details gives Fafnir F3 both a rough perimeter and a high Outward Weight Distribution and Flywheel Effect by concentrating the weight along the perimeter. The Japanese release of Drain Fafnir, features three teeth of medium-high length, akin to those found on Lost Longinus.

Fafnir F3 features two gimmicks: The first is that this Layer is Left-Spin, opposite to most other Beyblades. The second is that the "F"s are made of rubber, akin to the L-Drago II Clear Wheel from Metal Fight Beyblade. The inclusion of rubber aids in this Layer's ability to Spin Equalize with a Right-Spin opponent.

While the triangular shape and rough perimeter of Fafnir F3 may imply recoil, the Left-Spin nature of this Layer reduces recoil against a Right-Spin opponent and even when against a Left-Spin opponent, the protrusions are too shallow to cause any noticeable recoil and Stamina loss. When spinning slower than a Right-Spin opponent, the rubber "F"s, "horns" and rounded shape of Fafnir F3 allows for Spin Equalization, where the Layers of two opposite spinning Beyblades work akin to gears and equally distribute their spin, by acting as a cushion against impact, increasing friction between Layers, acting as a "hook" for the other Beyblade to catch into and propel Fafnir F3 faster and reducing recoil to increase the rate of contact. However, the effect, while still there, is not as great as that of the L-Drago II Wheel as the amount of exposed rubber along the perimeter is less than that on the aforementioned Wheel.

When against a Left-Spin opponent, Fafnir F3 cannot Spin Equalize, in this case the clear plastic "horn" of each dragon head receives the first impact to deflect attacks like standard Stamina Type Layers and the friction of the rubber acts as brakes; stopping the Layer of the opponent and causing them to Burst so long as they have less Burst resistance. However if Fafnir F3 has less Burst resistance against a Left-Spin opponent, the friction of the rubber can cause a Fafnir F3 combination to Self-Burst.

However, due to the low amount of exposed rubber, Fafnir F3 struggles to Spin Equalize against Layers with smooth, round designs such as Blaze Ragnaruk and Maximum Garuda.

Forge Disc - 7

Main article: Forge Disc - 7
7, like other odd numbered Core Discs, is an asymmetrical, elliptical disc that can facilitate a Disc Frame. 7 is designed similar to Gravity or Heavy, with seven designs jutting out that resemble the number "7". At first glance, the Disc looks unbalanced, but in reality, two of the sections on one side being halves makes it balanced. 7 is one of the heaviest Discs thus far, outclassed only by 10 and 0, and has a ideal weight distribution for Stamina Combinations. Its high Outward Weight Distribution grants it not only the highest Stamina potential out of all other Core Discs, but its weight grants it high Attack and Defense potential without the severe Burst Risk of 8. With the use of Disc Frames, 7 can be used to great effect in any Combination.

Disc Frame - Star

Main article: Disc Frame - Star
Star, as its name implies, is a Disc Frame that has a star-like shape. Its design consists of eight protrusions; five of which are placed in a star-like formation, and the other three are placed in between them. The underside of the Disc Frame features ten protrusions; eight of which are seen on the frontside, and the other two are placed near the sockets needed to apply Star onto a Core Disc.

While Star is too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, its thick design makes it heavier than most Disc Frames, providing use in Attack Combinations, though not to the degree of other Disc Frames such as Meteor and Bump. However, unlike the aforementioned Disc Frames, Star's rather smooth underside provides Life After Death, though not to the degree of Glaive and Cross. Nonetheless, Star has use in both Attack Combinations and Spin Equalization Combinations.

Performance Tip - Zephyr

Main article: Performance Tip - Zephyr
Zephyr features a hollow plastic flat tip with a small diameter, akin to Hole Flat from Metal Fight Beyblade, and sits at the standard height. Compared to Accel, the diameter of Zephyr is slightly larger. The center of the Driver also contains an embossed logo featuring a stylized letter "Z" for easy differentiation from other Drivers. Due to the surface area, Zephyr will create an aggressive, and if launched at an angle, somewhat easily controllable movement pattern. In terms of speed, Zephyr is comparable to Accel, capable of reaching and stalling on the Tornado Ridge. Due to the plastic construction, Zephyr is an excellent choice for both Mobile Stamina and Attack/Stamina Balance Combinations.

However, Zephyr's plastic construction is also a weakness as Attack Combinations using Zephyr can lose their Banking Pattern somewhat easily, especially if the Combinations are unbalanced. Furthermore, the low friction means that Zephyr is liable to self-Knock-Outs. Finally, due to Zephyr's hollow construction, the Driver is liable to denting in the case of Disk to Driver contact after a Burst.
