Fengriff F2 Boost Jaggy, known as Fang Fenrir Boost Jaggy (ファングフェンリル・ブースト・ジャギー, Fangu Fenriru Būsuto Jagī) in Japan, is an Attack Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan on October 22nd, 2016 for 6000円 in the Dual Cyclone BeyStadium DX Set and was later released in western countries as a part of the Jormuntor J2 & Fengriff F2 Dual Pack.
Energy Layer - Fengriff F2
Main article: Energy Layer - Fengriff F2
Fengriff F2 is an Attack Type Energy Layer that features four counterclockwise blades, akin to the Aquario Metal Wheel and Hyper Fusion Wheel from Metal Fight Beyblade, and the small face of a wolf seen above the center, meant to represent the Layer's Japanese namesake; Fenrir, a monstrous wolf in Norse Mythology.
While the direction and smooth design of the Layer's blades may imply high Defense potential, the large gaps in between the blades ends up creating too much recoil for such a purpose, and the recoil that is produced is too little to create meaningful Burst Attack. This problem is further exacerbated by the mediocre teeth of the Takara Tomy release of Fang Fenrir, which are inconsistent on withstanding the recoil the blades produce, making Fang Fenrir prone to losses by Burst.
Forge Disc - Boost
Main article: Forge Disc - Boost
Boost is a circular Forge-Disc with six small downward sloping blades present around its perimeter. In theory, the blades are meant to produce Down Force in Right-Spin to increase the grip of the Beyblade on the stadium floor by pushing air downward and create Upper Force in Left-Spin which would decrease the friction between the Beyblade and the stadium floor by pushing air upwards. In reality however, due to the small size of the blades, the Down/Upper Force created is negligible and the said blades serve no other purposes other than drastically reducing the Life After Death of Boost. Furthermore, Boost has a light weight even for a non-Core Disc and a poor weight distribution making it a poor choice for Attack, Defense and Stamina Combinations.
Performance Tip - Jaggy
Main article: Performance Tip - Jaggy
Jaggy is a Performance Tip that features a flat, eight-pointed star tip with a depression in the center. Due to this Performance Tip's shape and surface area, Jaggy will create a moderately aggressive movement pattern with speeds faster than that of Accel. However, the rough perimeter of Jaggy will make it difficult to maintain a Banking Pattern while also heavily reducing Stamina in the process.
