Flame Libra T125ES (フレイムリブラT125ES, Fureimu Ribura T125ES) is a Stamina Type Beyblade released as part of the Hybrid Wheel System. It was released in Japan by Takara Tomy in September 2009 for 787円.

Face Bolt: Libra

The Face Bolt depicts "Libra", the seventh astrological sign in the Zodiac and one of the 88 constellations in space. Libra is Latin for "scales", and the design fittingly features balance scales with the word "Libra" below it. Some Hasbro releases, such as Thunder Libra DF145BS, omit this word and enlarge the scales.

Energy Ring: Libra

The regular release of Libra is a translucent green, featuring scales on opposite sides.

Fusion Wheel: Flame

Main article: Fusion Wheel - Flame

The Fusion Wheel Flame is predominantly circular, with two small spikes and two additional smaller gaps on its circumference. The Fusion Wheel is relatively thin throughout, with the very edge of the Fusion Wheel being slightly thicker. Due to the design of Flame where the Fusion Wheel’s perimeter is raised slightly, more of the Spin Track below is exposed compared to other Fusion Wheels, hence making it easier for other Beyblades to strike its Spin Track. This significantly reduces its Defense capabilities. However, the raised perimeter allows slightly more wobbling time, as the raised Wheel reduces floor scraping.

Spin Track: T125

Tornado 125 has four upward-facing wing protrusions spaced apart widely. The Spin Track is designed to work in a similar way to Down Force 145, although the effect it produces is negligible. The performance of Tornado 125 is similar to Defense 125, and in terms of height, it is generally overshadowed by Change Height 120.

Performance Tip: ES

Main article: Performance Tip - ES

The Eternal Spike tip features a free-spinning tip attached to a metal shaft which is held by the Perfomance Tip.

The part was one of the most heavily anticipated parts in the MFB lineup when first announced, but ES is actually a hugely disappointing part in terms of performance.

Firstly, ES lacks a metal bearing, which would significantly reduce the friction between the free-spinning tip and the rest of the Performance Tip. All of the best free-spinning tips, notably Bearing Core, had Shielded Ball Bearings which allowed unhindered spin.

Secondly, Beyblades using ES are easily destabilised due to its sharp tip. As all Spike tips do, Eternal Spike also has trouble regaining balance, hence making this a poor choice for Stamina. That said, ES still remains superior to BS and S as Stamina Bottoms.

Trivia

  • Flame Libra shares its combo of T125ES with Thermal Pisces.
  • The Hasbro version of ES has a seam through the middle of it, while the Takara Tomy lacks this seam.
  • Flame Libra has been heavily damaged by four Bladers: First by Reiji with Poison Serpent, then by Team Garcias, then by Damian with Hades Kerbecs, and lastly by Rago with Diablo Nemesis. This makes Libra the most damaged Bey in the Metal Saga.
  • Flame Libra has never shown its Spirit in the anime.
