"Dragon vs. Fafnir!" (ドラゴンVSファブニル!, Doragon vs. Fabunīru!; Dragon vs. Fafnir!) is the fifth episode of the Beyblade Burst GT anime. It first aired on May 3rd, 2019 in Japan.

"Explosive Speed! Glyph Strike!" (爆速グランビート!, Bakusō Guran Bīto!; Explosive Speed! Grand Beat!)​ is the sixth episode of the Beyblade Burst GT anime. It first aired on May 10th, 2019 in Japan.

Both episodes later aired as the third episode of the Beyblade Burst Rise anime titled "Dragon vs. Fafnir!" on February 1st, 2020 in New Zealand, on February 15th, 2020 in America, and on March 14th, 2020 in Canada.

Part 1: In an attempt to humiliate the Victories, Fumiya challenges Dante to a battle that will be broadcast around the country! With thousands of eyes watching, can Dante defend his club’s honor against the Bey Carnival’s reigning champ?

Part 2: Dante may have lost the first point to Fumiya, but he refuses to let another one go! A shocking conclusion to the match sees a stampede of new Bladers rushing to join the Victories. Despite the enthusiasm, Delta seems to be the only one unimpressed by Dante’s skills.

Overall: In an attempt to humiliate the Victories, Fumiya challenges Dante to a battle that will be broadcast around the country.

  • Before Dante and Arman begin their battle at the end of the episode, the bandages on Taka's forehead are missing.
  • In the English Ending Credits for the episode, Señor Hanami appears in the cast list instead of Gunta Hanami.
  • On Netflix, the captions misread "Ace Dragon's the name!" as "Ace Dragon in the house!". The captions also misread "He just said his strategy out loud!" as "He just blurted out his entire strategy!".

Trivia[]

  • Episode 5 is the first Japanese episode of Beyblade Burst Rise to show Dragon with the Ace Layer Base in the Title Card.
  • In the English version of the episode when Dante decides to go with Glyph Dragon, the Dragon GT Chip and Zan Layer Weight are not seen attaching to the Glyph Base.
  • This is the first Beyblade Burst Rise episode to not have its name changed in the dub.
  • When Dante was nervous before facing Fumiya, the way he approached the stage is a callback to various season 1 episodes, as well as Turbo episode 16, when Valt nervously walked like a wind-up toy.
